Animal Care
Animal care is the hot topic in India.
At the same time it is sad to know that many deaths and destructions occur due to deadly atrocities and attacks by animals.
Tragedy to Tribal men, farmers and villagers by elephants, tigers, panthers and mad dogs can be written in volumes, say the environmentalists.
Let us view one after another.
Terrors by Panthers and Environment
The Valparai citizens grumble that Tiger resorts have caused Panthers to enter the towns.
Tiger Preservation Scheme has this pitfall and resulted in deaths of children in villages and towns
reports the Village Chief.
Many thousands are employed in Tea Estates in Valparai in Coimbatore District. These estates are very close to Indira Gandhi Wild Life Sanctuary and hence the movements of Tigers, Elephants, Bears and Panthers are common in these areas. The Central Government has converted it as Tigers Reserve to protect these wild animals.
Whenever havocs and deaths occur in the families living nearby, immediately Rs1 lakh will be given as compensation by the government.
"If the Tribal men agitate vigorously then the Forest Officers will create a drama scene by placing nets here and there and pretend as though they are interested in nabbing the Panthers. But nothing concrete will be done by them. Next day they will disappear without driving out even a single ant. Even if they catch a panther they will carry them to Solayaru regions, where plenty of deer are available for their prey. Some beautiful deer have vanished by their unscrupulous act.
