Preface

Nano Technology has gained importance in vehicles, aerospace, logistics, naval vessels, satellites, defense weapons, security, welfare of human beings and sophistication in military applications.

This technology is nothing but knowing and control of matter at dimensions of 1 to 100nm, which enable it to use for sophisticated applications. A nanometer is 10⁹ of a meter.

Nano technology comprises imaging, measuring, modeling and manipulating the matter, with this length of scale. In this level, the physical, chemical and biological behavior of material will vary in fundamental and valuable ways from both the properties of individual atoms and molecules or bulk matter.

Hence, Nano technology experts are engaged in creating better materials and devices with unique systems that exploit these new properties through discussions in international conferences. In India several international conferences on Nano Technology are conducted to enlighten the present and future generation about it.
