Compostable packaging How far have we come?

In June, Environment Minister David Parker announced that “problem” and some single-use plastics will be phased out by mid-2025. Food and drink packaging made from PVC and polystyrene will be going, along with plastics that are oxo- or photo-degradable (fossil-based plastics that break down due to chemical additives, rather than biological activity).
