The Beginning

Anelle Rust is a 32-year-old college dropout. After taking a job as a barista, she's settled down in Barista Heaven...Seattle. With her shoulder length brown hair, brown eyes and average build, Anelle thinks of herself as a bit of a plain person. Her roommate, Amonlee Hafdere has no job, but always pays the rent on time and always has weed. Anelle got herself into a bit of a predicament: she borrowed some weed from her roommate, Amonlee Hafdere, and needs to pay her back. Her barista job is just enough to pay the bills and no one is tipping. Anelle's friend, Slate had an interview she needed to conduct for Strike a Juxtapose, a new publication focusing on boxing debates (a new sport taking over the nation). Slate hates to time travel, so he passes the interview over to Anelle.

The First Encounter

Anelle approached the desk of Contraption GRAYn, one of the most powerful

robots of his time period. The room was pure steel, every inch of it

bled into Annelle's skin and gave her a shiver. In the center of the

room was a large desk, in the center of that desk, a small computer

screen. H-Hello, Mr. GRAYn? Anelle asked the small screen.

The screen came to life in a mixture of red, green and blue. Hues of colors that only mattered to Anelle. You must be,  Anelle. I'd say you're late but with time travel these days you're right on time. Judging by the sound of your voice you are slightly nervous to be here.

Annelle was shocked for two reasons: Contraption's voice was more relaxing than she had anticipated and she actually found it kind of sexy, like a mix

between Christian Bale and Barry White. "I apologize, with everything

happening so fast--"

Contraption interrupted Annelle with a slick harshness, Don't apologize, it makes you seem weak. And I find weakness unattractive.
