Chapter 1: Transformation Closet

As a child I feared caterpillars. I squirmed as I watched them move, trying to reach their next destination. I remembered thinking why on earth do we need these things and what’s their purpose?  Coincidentally, I loved butterflies! Back then I never knew that the caterpillar I despised was the butterfly I came to admire. I learned that this beautiful creature went through a transformation process, breaking out of its self-formed cocoon.  The cocoon conceals the caterpillar in a safe environment, where the transformation process begins.

Like the caterpillar, I decided it was time for a transformation in my life.  I desired a change from my history of decisions, which led me to a place of heartbreak, feelings of loneliness, and undiagnosed depression.  Those choices prevented my transformation.  I made good choices but not Godly choices.
