YOU
You were kind to me
When others did wrong.
You took me in,
You made me belong.
In time of need
You comforted me.
You were by my side;
Right there for me.
But how did it happen?
I would like to know.
That things between us
Just did not go.
I felt like if
I drove you away,
When all I wanted
Was for you to stay.
And only if
You could see,
What you really
Mean to me.

YOUR SMILE
I was once so lonely and blue
Until the day I started talking to you.
I felt so warm and secure inside
And to myself I didn’t have to lie.
I was feeling happy, much better than before.
I would wake up in the morning and
Wonder if there was more.
I faced the day so positive, with a smile,
Hoping for once it would last more than a while.
I wonder now as I sit all alone,
Did it stay or has it flown?
But I was happy in that while,
And in that time, I carried your smile.

LETTING GO
Sitting alone in grass field, clear as far as the eye can see with a few scattered trees in the distance under a cloudless sky. I sit in this field, the soft, cold grass beneath me. A light wind comes from behind me. It whispers it’s song into my ear and I begin to fall asleep. Unnoticed, I begin to float about. My eyes are shut, yet I can see all around. Voices of the past I hear. A story is retold. It was a dreamy morning with the sun warming the moist ground. A lake, I believe it was, or maybe a sea, it stirs with an uneasy motion. Is it trying to fight the breeze? On its shore is a lonely building. It tells its tale of the sea. It also tells the story of happiness brought to light.
On a morning similar to that mentioned, the air was cool. The only sound was that of the birds that flew overhead. They squawked as if taking turns, later in unison as if singing their song. Chairs were put in rows outside the small building. A crushing noise soon interrupted the song as it rattled closer. It stopped and behind it, more. Suddenly, the area was filled with young burst of energy. Youth now roamed the area. Each possessed it’s own life, it’s own breath. A small crowd gathered to engage in a display of sound.
As the morning went on, the show had come to a break. The tired musicians walked about and frolicked, carrying about in their usual playful manor. But one was without energy, alone, sitting in one of the chairs. The sun shone over him in silence, to everyone, he didn’t exist. A voice went towards his direction so he looked up. A figure stood in front of him.
