    Acknowledgments

I am grateful to everyone who has joined me on this journey, especially those who have been around since its beginning in 2007.    Suffice it to say, these books would never exist without your support, feedback, and success stories.  In the end, it was you who motivated me.

This book is dedicated to those of you who take action and walk down your own path of positive personal change after reading it.

    Preface

Right now someone far less qualified than you is living your dreams… all because they didn’t just talk about it, they took action.

    A Third Book on Balls?

Hey, everyone… your friend, J.D. Bloodstone here.  Back with yet another and perhaps my final book on the topic of balls.

I hear from readers of my books each and every day.  I have received quite a bit of feedback.  My favorite feedback to receive is when a reader tells me how some specific aspect of my book(s) helped them take action in their lives to bring about the positive change they were hoping for in their personal lives.

Over the years I have picked up on some similarities of the people who make these changes.  Primarily, they all mention how their perception of their situation changed right before they found themselves able to take action to change it.  This change in perception was caused by the realization that FEAR was holding them back… particularly, the fear of change, the unknown, and of failure.

This really struck a chord with me.

Interestingly enough, I know first-hand how the fear of change and failure can grip you… taking over your body… affecting the way you think, feel, act, and believe.  It was because of my own experiences that I decided to write a book detailing the process of getting over this fear and becoming the person I wanted to be at the same time.  I always felt that if I could write down my own thoughts and feelings while I was experiencing them I would have the opportunity to catch lightning in a bottle.  I believed that my writing would take on greater realism and I would acquire the necessary authority to be able to write on this strange, funny, and incredibly important topic.  I hoped that my readers would be able to follow along as I encouraged and motivated myself to take the necessary action to move beyond anything that might be holding me back from the life I wanted.  Through this process I was able to identify what made me different than other people who may have had the same idea and feeling…

I made the decision to act!

I decided to do something about it!

But, it was more than a decision…

It was a commitment to myself… it was a split-second dedication ceremony to the new me… the person I would become.  It was the genesis of the new person who is writing these words that you are now reading.

There have been many other decisions that I have made and actions I have taken since that moment; however, the genesis decision is the one that really mattered as I think back to that time in my life.  It is in this way that I realize what the true purpose of my writing these books: to encourage and motivate you to make your own genesis decision and create that moment in time for yourself.

Once you have made this commitment to yourself, you need to organize every aspect of your life around it.  You can do this by learning how to prioritize.

According to the World English Dictionary, to prioritize means to:

    1. To arrange (items to be attended to) in order of their relative importance.

    2.  To give priority to or to establish as a priority.

By prioritizing, you can structure your life in such a way that fulfilling your commitment is inevitable.  Your commitment can be the measuring tool by which you make every decision that follows.  Simply ask yourself the following questions when determining the priority of any aspect of your life:

Will this action bring you closer to your goal or away from it?

What if you don’t take any action?  Will your non-action bring you closer to your goal or will it
