As a father of four daughters who are very strong and resilient, I have been blessed to watch their transformation from little girls to women before my eyes. In 2013, my wife and I had a life changing conversation about the influence and impact that I have in my daughter’s lives. These four amazing young women who are destined for greatness are leaving an impact in this world. As their father I felt I could help them achieve this goal with intentional encouragement daily. Each morning it became my desire to counteract daily distractions and negativity they may face. My goal is to provide them with encouragement and to help them “win” every day, no matter what they are facing, with a positive attitude. Since then, every morning I have generated three positive thoughts for my daughters, along with a Bible verse, and send it to them via text message Monday thru Friday. It has been my desire to start their mornings with positive inspiration from Dad.

To my daughters Saleeta, Tyrah, Takiah and Treasure Butler. When you all were younger, I could have done things very differently regarding my Fatherly love towards you all and I recognize that many years later. This book is truly dedicated to you guys. From the night your mom told me back in 2013 to send you all something positive each day I wanted you all to have three encouraging thoughts to start your day off with, so that’s where the idea and title Morning 3 began. Each day when I sent you all a text message, I wanted it to be positive, inspiring and something to carry you through your daily activities.
