I would like to
dedicate Living My Happily Ever After Daily to my Mother, Bertha Reed White, Sandy Anita White, Sylvia Ann Kluender, my sisters, Samuel Kase White & Orlando Thomas White, my nephews. Thank you for being so supportive and loving in everything I have set out to accomplish. I love you each dearly. Especially to my Mother whom I adore & respect. My Mother continuously emulates what unconditional love looks and acts like. To my many Family members and very close friends who inspire and encourage me daily. To my prayer partners & Christian mentors who prayed with me and for me as we share the love we have for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that this book will be a testimony of how much we are loved and sought after by our Heavenly Father. Not withstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord.
Leviticus 27:28 KJV.
INTRODUCTION
The title Living My Happily Ever After Daily came to me right after I completed my first book, Turning Right & Keeping Straight. That book was published under my pen name of Faith Devine. The content of this book however was a much slower process, which took years for me to complete. I actually finished all but one chapter in November of 2017 and had to start it all over again. At that point I knew the Holy Sprit was totally in control. I had spent two grueling years trying to finish this book and in one second it was all mistakenly deleted. I couldn’t even be mad. It was in that moment, when I knew I couldn’t get any of it back; that I realized all that I had previously written wasn’t pleasing to my Holy Sprit. I had grown over the last 3 years more so in my relationship with The Father in such a way, that I knew if I had peace about accidentally deleting 2 years of hard work in 1 second, it was no accident. It was in that one second that I knew the purpose of this book was no longer about me. Living My Happily Ever After Daily is exactly what the Father wants us as Christians, to do. Even though I was baptized Catholic (doesn’t matter what religious stature you hold) once saved I became a child of Christ. Christ like, a Christian. My life as I knew it, had been changed. I didn’t look different at all but I had taken the road less traveled. It takes only a moment to be saved; however sanctification is a process. Your thought life does not immediately change. All lasting relationships (including the one with Our Father) are built on trust, truth, & time. When there is internal change there will be external evidence! When we become believers, we are postured for progress.
Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don’t believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation. For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.
Hebrews 6:9-12 NLT.
Thy will be done Jesus. I pray for you as you read this; you will experience an even deeper yearning for a relationship with Christ Jesus. Just as I continue to daily. The following 10 chapters are the guidelines I am utilizing in order to live my happily ever after daily.
CHAPTER ONE
From Right To Better
What does it mean to be better
? The definition of better is:
Better-of a more excellent or effective type or quality.
Hoping for better weather
synonyms: superior, finer, of higher quality; preferable; informala cut above, head and shoulders above, ahead of the pack/field better facilities
Then the Bible goes on to say:
So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.
1 Peter 1:14 NLT.
What I mean by right to better is this. When you take Jesus Christ as your savior, you have made the right choice. What I mean by better is that you will need to strive to be more Christ like.
As a believer you will want to be a better person, however your flesh will fight you in every area possible. Your flesh knows just what you like. The enemy doesn’t waste His time on the lost. He already has a home assigned to them in hell. The devil is strategic. The devils goal is to deceive every believer. We must guard our hearts and minds daily. Never start, or end your day unprotected.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11 NLT.
Just because we are taught what is right and what is wrong, there is a very high probability we will find more of the wrong much more acceptable in our current society. We as imperfect people, have no right to stand in judgment of anyone, believer or non-believer. Each one of us is unique and very special to The Father. He created us in His image as individual masterpieces, to love one another.
Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one-another.
1 John 2:7 NLT. For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Galatians 5:13 NLT.
When I was growing up, happily ever
