How can I acknowledge all who contributed to the production of this book? To recognize all who supported me in the process is a grand task, but here it goes! First I want to acknowledge the Rock on which my life is built, my Lord, Savior, & redeemer, Jesus Christ. Without his grace, I wouldn't have such a testament. Thank you for your love & COMPASSION toward me.
To my natural parents, David & Lynda Parks-Tobar. Thank you for imparting wisdom into this hungry soul. I've been able to pull lessons from your experiences as a guide to help me through mine. Thank you for being CONSISTENT.
To my spiritual parents Apostle Jonathan and Jessica Davis (Kingdom Seekers International Ministry of Arts). I've learned so much from your teaching. The lessons you've taught me became tools I could use to make effective changes in the lives of those who surrounded me. Thank you for being COMMITTED to my spiritual growth.
To Pastor Tommie & Winnie Wells (Pentecostal Crusade Church). Thank you for all the love & support you've shown. CONNECTION means a lot.
To Brittney Reel (Final Draft Publishing Services). Your editorial services and COLLABORATIVE support was superb. This is just the beginning.

To the many warriors I’ve shared a dwelling with for 2 and a half years. Thank you for keeping me & my pencils sharpened. Thank you for showing you CARE. To all my family & friends who have supported me & my family throughout this journey. Because of your support I was able to freely write this book. Thanks for showing genuine CONCERN.
And to my wife, Sabrina. You are my CROWN and greatest CHAMPION. Thank you so much for your faithfulness and willingness to help carry the weight throughout this journey. You have become the vessel that mirrors Christ's unconditional love. Thank you for allowing me to experience it.
Introduction
It is said that a true mark of a warrior is one who believes he has a chance, regardless of the circumstance or situation. He enters a fight, not hoping he will win, but knowing he will win. In our case, it is Warrior vs. Satan and all of his demonic agents, plots, and schemes. He has one ultimate goal in mind: to destroy us. Because he won’t rest until that goal is accomplished, it is vital that we not take this opponent lightly.
A fruitful warrior knows the importance of studying his competition in order to give him an edge. The more he knows his opponent’s tendencies, the better his chances of victory. Once he develops a favorable lead towards victory, a warrior doesn’t let up on his opponent. He knows that it is not over until it’s over; that his opponent can always come back and fight his way back in.
The Battle Within
When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left’, When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first.
Luke 11: 24-26 NIV
For years, I have struggled with sexual immorality and fought with the spirit of heaviness; and the more I found myself in a negative emotional state, the more I engaged in sexual deviant behaviors as an aid to bandage the emotional suffering that I experienced.
The Knockout
Because of the call of God on my life to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus to a lost generation, my life and legacy became a prime target of Satan’s destructive plan. All he needed was a way to make me fall deep into a negative emotional state, and he was sure that doing so would cause me to revert back to my old ways. This would give him a chance to invite other deviant behaviors of which I never imagined I would become engaged.
Satan hit me with a blow that knocked me to my knees, mentally rattling me to the point where my entire life was adversely affected. He ravished my mind and sought to steal, kill and destroy my soul. But my failure to believe that, as a warrior, I could conquer the war that raged in the battlefield of my mind weakened my spirit and ultimately led to a crime and a nine-year prison sentence.
The Purging
But who would have thought that coming to prison would set me free? And though the journey wasn’t easy, changing my perception of where I was had to become the key to my FREEDOM. I had to see prison, not just as a place of retribution and incapacitation, but also as my place of purging and equipping.
I had nothing but time on my hands, and making the decision to take that time and allow God to purge me of all unfruitfulness was entirely on me. It was important that I didn’t allow the enemy to distract me nor infiltrate my mind with thoughts that were meant to weaken my spirit. I had to will myself to react, respond, and refrain from anything associated with my past. Otherwise, God saw my process as barren and unproductive.
The Process
My place of purging wasn’t a pleasurable place, but it was a place meant for growth with the objective of mature fruit. This would come only by pursuing purpose, studying and applying the word of God to the soil of my mind, heart, soul, and spirit.
I’ve been held by the spirit of heaviness and sexual immorality for too long and it was time I got to the root of it and broke free from its grip once and for all. I could have dawdled and put it off, but I chose to embrace my right now
moment and allow the process to begin.
The Testimony
Satan was working overtime to win the fight for my life and legacy, but it was my faith in God that gave me hope for final victory and future glory. And now I share my testimony of FREEDOM in hopes that it will be the key to unlock your prison, and that you may find the strength, stamina, courage, peace, and faith you need for the journey ahead.
I believe that our greatest test could become our greatest testimonies, and that our greatest mess could become our greatest message to make the greatest impact in the lives of those we will ever come in contact with. So, as I unravel some of my life’s greatest tests and my testimony of FREEDOM, may those who
