About this ebook

The life of the Rose family has always been simple and sweet but Rose's mother and father know that when it is Rose's turn to rule the Woods Kingdom she will have to face fairies who will question her authority and she will have to go to war with the Unimaginables. Will Rose defeat the creatures or will these things destroy the Woods and take over making the fairies run from their homes and be nothing more but something that used to be great. It seems that nothing Rose does helps her with this war.
The King and Queen, known all her life as her mother and father, hid a secret from Rose and everyone in the kingdom. Will she choose to forget and neglect her family or will she embrace it and forgive her "parents" and move on to more important matters like what is to come. The fairies depend on Rose to win the war or fairies will be gone forever.
In the middle of the war Rose realizes something that will change her life forever and if she gets hurt that future could change.

This is a story for my daughter. It isn’t based on a true story but it is my daughter’s fairy tale. The characters in this book are mostly fictional. The only one that is truly the same as a live person is Lily. Any other resemblance is entirely coincidental.

One of the teachers in my high school peer edited this story and made corrections. Thank you, Miss Moore for helping me even though you didn’t have to. You’re a true friend.

    Chapter One:

    The Very Beginning

This is the story of the fairies. There are many different types of fairies and many different kingdoms. Some fairies can fly, some control water, some control nature, some control wolves, but many of the fairies are great warriors. Better then I'll ever be. My father has told me many of the stories about the kingdoms. The kingdoms are: The Sky Kingdom, The Water Kingdom, The Woods Kingdom, The Mountains Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Good Faith.

My father told me stories of each of the kingdoms when I was a little girl. The Sky Kingdom is above everyone's head. They live on the clouds silently watching everything. They are told to be the peace keepers. Lately they have been keeping to themselves and not aiding in any way for any of the fairies. They used to be the first ones to know when something bad was happening. They would take out the enemy and help whoever was attacked home. We all heard about these good deeds from the fairies they saved. If they wouldn't have said anything no would have known about the Sky Kingdom's fairies good deeds.

The Water Kingdom is below our eyes when we look at those relaxing waves. The fairies in the Water Kingdom live in the deepest part of the water. A place not even the water beasts will go. They are too scared of the fairies that live there. The Water fairies search for the water beasts and they kill them. The hunting is their fun. There is a warrior in the Water Kingdom that is said to be the strongest warrior out of all of the fairies. He was the first one to kill a water beast and that is what scares all of the water beasts away. These fairies don't believe in names but we gave him a name. We call him Vir. This is a Latin word that means hero.

The Kingdom of Good Faith is a training kingdom. They are taught how to fight. They used to be our greatest ally in war. But the wars got out of hand. They were started for no reason and I'm sad to say they have not ended to this day. The Kingdom of Good Faith stopped aiding us in war when thousands of their fairies died. When they were told there was no reason for the war, which was brought upon the fairies because of the hatred the two kings had for each other. This angered the Kingdom of Good Faith and they were never heard from again.

After the Kingdom of Good Faith stopped aiding us there was another war. One everyone got involved in except the Kingdom of Good Faith. Thousands of the Water fairies died. They Sky fairies were betrayed by one of their own. None of the Kingdoms knew what started the war between The Kingdom of the Woods and The Kingdom of the Mountains and none of the fairies dared to ask. They didn't want to offend any of the other kingdoms.

Everything started years ago in a kingdom when a prince met a princess. The Prince's name is Prince White. This is a calm kingdom under the rule of the Rose family. Princess Rose is very beautiful. She has long red hair, and she isn't very tall but she isn't short either. She is very skinny, and she has high cheek bones. Rose's face is lightly colored all the time. Her face always looks as if she is blushing. Everyone always says that when you find love you find pain and war. I never believed them until I found love.

I am Princess Rose. My life hasn't ever been easy but I feel that this story is worth telling. It is time that everyone learns the truth about what is lurking in the woods, what hides behind the trees, and what kills these monsters. My story starts on the day that I was holding my normal ball halfway through the year in my own home. My mother and father always force me to hold this ball so I communicate with the fairies in our kingdom.

In the middle of the Woods Kingdom is our castle. Out our castles doors to the left is the Town Square. Everyone's businesses are in the Town Square. I always believed that my parents had control over the Town Square but the truth is they don't take part in it. They don't buy anything from any of the people in our kingdom. They simply send someone out to another kingdom and get their supplies there. My parents may love the kingdom but they do not love it enough to support it, I feel that this is very wrong. They should be the town's top supporter. Instead I am the town's top supporter.

There were a couple of new faces that I had to be introduced to at the ball. None of the people who arrived are interesting to me. They always try to impress me; no one is themselves towards me. Everyone acts as if they had to hide their secrets and be someone completely different then themselves around me. I do not like this fact. If a man couldn't be himself around me then why bother with him? I wouldn't be able to live with him for the rest of my life knowing that he isn't showing his true self to me.

I was forced to talk to a lot of different people throughout the ball but after the tenth person I got tired of everything and I started walking to the door. When I got halfway to the door a man stopped me. I have never seen this man before. He is very handsome and I blushed immediately. This man is very tall, slim, and has a dark complexion about him. He bowed down to me and took my hand. I was very surprised when he stood up instead of kissing my hand. Most men kiss my hand and wait for me to give them permission to stand. This one didn't though. He didn't kiss my hand and he stood up without me telling him he could. This made me smile. Finally someone I feel that I don't have to boss around.

After he introduced himself as Prince White we started to dance. It seemed as if we flowed to the music as he twirled me in circles. I ended up in his arms when the music stopped. This made me jumpy and excited. I have never met a man who would dance with me the way White just did. He is being nice to me; he isn’t hiding his true self at all. He's acting like we are both same rank and not that since I am the woman that I have more power over him. We danced three times until finally I was out of breath. After I tired we decided to take a walk so we could have some privacy and talk.

During the walk we talked about our childhood and how neither of us wanted to take over a kingdom but sooner or later we would have to. By the end of the day I was in a trance. My parents wanted me to marry before the next high moon, which will be in fifteen years. I don't know if this guy is the one for me but I know quite a lot about him. I know that his name is white. He doesn't want rule over a kingdom and he wishes that he didn't have to.

He hates when his parents push him into the conversation of marriage. He doesn't plan on getting married just so he can take over the kingdom. He wants to actually love the woman that he marries. If there is no love then he wouldn't be able to spend his life with her and he wouldn't be able to produce an heir to his kingdom. This is the exact same way I feel maybe we were meant to meet. I'm not going to leave this alone. I will not give up but first I have to find out if he feels the same way about me. If he doesn't then I don't know what I will do because I will have to marry soon and if he doesn't care about me that way then I will have no one. Maybe I should be thinking of someone else as well just in case he doesn't feel the same way as I do.

Would Wolf finally show his true self to me if we are married? I would hope so because I fear that if White says he doesn't feel the same then Wolf will be the only one left to choose. I don't feel this way for Wolf but I might end up having to marry him and live forever in pain. What will I do if this happens? Become a mean person? Or will I just give up on my feelings. I don't know what I'm going to do. White is just looking for friendship he won’t ever see me as more than a friend.

I don't know if I should talk to White about my situation or just let it go. So for now I'll going to let it go. When I got home that night I took the pins out of my hair and let it drape down on my shoulders. The pins had made my hair very wavy. When I went into my bedroom I was wearing a baby blue silk nightgown. This is a very expensive fabric that only royalty can afford to own. I sat down at my mirror and brushed my hair. I can't help but to think about everything that happened earlier. No one has ever made me feel the way White did tonight. He kept me smiling all night and I was so jumpy. I felt like I wasn't alone anymore. I felt happy, which I haven't really felt in a long time.

Of course this only lasted while he was around. When I returned to the castle after our walk and my parents summoned me to the throne room I felt sick. I always feel this way around my parents. My parent’s marriage was arranged and they have never been happy with each other. The longest they can get along is for a day. They get along when other people are watching but I hear them at night when everyone's gone. I will not live my life like theirs. I want to be happy and I want to feel loved. I never want to end up like them.

I am deep in thought and then I hear a noise that made me snap back to reality. Tap... Tap... Tap... There is a tapping sound coming from the balcony door. I
