About this ebook

This book is two of the Tale of The Dark Flames trilogy. Meeka, Moros and Tammy lived through a terrible war. The three clans who deemed themselves powerful all fought for power. The victory was Moros and Meeka’s alone. Ten years have passed from the time they dawn the gates of Rome. Rocksy and Isis had their wedding and found life together; I am sure it was pleasurable. This book is the tale of Moros and Meeka as they left for Meeka’s hometown and too to find out if her father was truly a vampire. Tara will also dawn this story as she finds a cure to the curse. Merie is dragged around and is still captured by the assassin Haz. Like the first book, this will instill their own points of view and what they see and hear.

    Introductions

I hope you enjoyed the first book: The Sun and The Moon. You must be wondering more about me. I will tell you this….my name is Lilly. I am over 5,000 in immoral years. I’m about 20 years of age in mortal years.

Meeka, Moros and Tammy lived through a terrible war. The three clans who deemed themselves powerful all fought for power. Victory was Moros and Meeka’s alone. Ten years has passed from the time they dawn the gates of Rome. Rocksy and Isis had their wedding and found life together; I am sure it was pleasurable. This book is the tale of Moros and Meeka as they left for Meeka’s home town and too to find out if her father was truly a vampire. Tara will also dawn this story as she finds a cure to the curse. Merie is dragged around and is still captured by the assassin Haz. Like the first book this will instill their own points of view and what they see and hear. I only change their own tongue to a language you can understand. I will also show up in the book to explain how I came into the world. If you find yourself reading this, you should deem yourself lucky. We normally keep to ourselves, but Meeka wanted to release her life to anyone was willing to learn from Moros and her. As I said before be careful in this world, we do watch you… always watching you. Like always here is a quote from someone in history.

Sometimes we make love with our eyes.  Sometimes we make love with our hands.  Sometimes we make love with our bodies.  Always we make love with our hearts.

    My quote:

Life is a pleasant dream and when you awake you find yourself in a nightmare.

    Chapter 1

    The port

    -Meeka-

I reached for his hand as we stepped off the boat. Captain Jack pulled away from me when I tried to kiss him. I guess in a way I can’t blame him. Then again, I was a horrible monster who just slaughtered a dozen men on his ship. I deserve it to be shunned like a monster. Moros handed me his hand instead. I smiled at Moros then I reached over and grabbed Eric’s hand. The shipyard was much different from the last port we had landed on earlier. This particular port was much larger and filled with people moving about selling their goods. The odor of fished overwhelmed the salty air. We made it through the thick crowds of people to a lower main street. We still had a few days’ travel until we reached the city of Troy. I looked down to watch the sea crashing on the boards that creaked by the sea. I was feeling strange to be standing on a solid surface now.

Moros, we need to find some place to stay for the night. You need to need to feed. I can tell that you are starving my love. You should take Eric with you and hunt, I blurted out.

I looked at the merchant tent a hundred feet away and believed if they go hunting, I could get some new clothes to wear. Moros also needed some new clothing. He had been whining about his lack of clothes lately. He was the type of man who waited until he had nothing to wear before he went out and bought anything. I looked around at the merchant carts mapping out a route to take after we had found a place to stay. Moros had a gift in finding places to stay outside, a large tree, and a soft patch of moss.

But he had never any luck finding anything in a city or any ports. I was the one who always finds something for us to sleep in that includes inns too.

"We can stay at the: The Dark Rose!" Eric said intensely as he pointed in the direction the pub house was at.

The Dark Rose; I like the sound of that, I said with a smile.

Moros reach down; whispered ever so delicately to the point I almost didn’t hear him.

He held it with a kiss, Tammy is safe once again, but she wants to meet us near your home.

I pulled him to a stop and frown at the idea she did not even talk to me. Moros nodded over to Eric who was staring at the people move past him with excitement of his new-found gifts. In fact, I was too busy in my own head to even hear Tammy was shouting at me to answer her.

Isis said that we should find Tara in Troy. I told Moros again so Eric could think we were talking about Tara.

He has not met Tammy and I was not sure I wanted him to know her. We reach the pub house later than I wanted too. It seemed the port was overcrowded and you could get positively lost. I was not happy about being in a brothel. Eric was a sea man who loved to visit this type places for his lust and ale.

How could I judge him? I found my love and I was not going to let Moros get into it about where we stay because of me. We entered the house to my surprise it was well kept. The room was large and filled with drunk and half-naked people. I truly wanted to sleep for a night. At this moment, I would have taken Moros large moss cover tree any day. The inn had some look; as in Rocksy’s temple of lust. Moros squeezed my hand. I will be back; keep an eye on Eric.

I looked over at Eric who was trying to hold his composer as his blood lust seemed hard for him to control. A baby snappishly cried out just a few feet from me and I spun to see why the baby made the noises. I single tall human female was holding a newborn child… she was feeding the child.

I blurted out, Should I have a child?

Eric steadily turned to me and held positively as I was still holding his hand.

I know that I’m new to this life as a vampire, but I didn’t think you could have a child. It was hard to pay attention him say the words as Moros’ words drowned out his.

What are you two talking about…? He glared me shrewdly.

Moros could hear us and I know he was playing with me.  I could see that Eric was about to talk so I squeezed his hand until I felt a crack. Eric paused and stayed perfectly still.

So, my love we have a place to stay, I said as I changed the subject. I looked at him and batted my eyes.

Yes, it’s this way. He pointed and I moved over to his side releasing Eric’s hand. I glanced over to see him rub it.

We reached our room and I frown on how small the room was.

This is so small; where is, Eric going to sleep?

Moros just smiled at me and he pointed. When I turned around to see Eric waving at us. He had a blond-haired woman around his waist already. I wanted to tell him to behave, but I was neither his keeper nor his mother. I wanted the room for Moros and me anyways and this works out to my needs. When I stepped into the room, I pulled Moros in, and shut the door. The room did have a lot of furs that covered everything. I was happy about the room being soft and warm. Tammy crossed my mind as the memory of a child bouncing around my head.

She was near my home and was waiting for us to show up. I laid on Moros and played with his long hair. He then broke the silence.

What’s bothering you my love, he whispered into my ears as he tried to brush my hair back.

I hated that I had to talk to him about this and I wanted to world to stop. I prolonged as long as I could, but he held my face until I said something.

Why do you want me to have a child? I guess the question I should ask; can I even have a child? As I stared into his perfect blue eyes he never once made a move or even any emotion.

He then spoke the words that flowed out his mouth. I love you and I want to have child with you. The question if you can have a child is no. You are a vampire and we cannot have a child. Therefore, we must find Tara and end this curse. Then I want a baby with you, he said without skipping a beat.

I stared with excitement running down my spine as so many thoughts ran throughout my mind. We can be human again or are we hoping for something that will never be.

What if we are vampires forever my love, I whispered.

He moved his hands over my face so gently and whispered. I love you and no matter what happen we will be human one day.

I was not sure about that. Did I wanted to be a weak human now that I had been a vampire for so long? I felt alarmed… "No terrified." My body betrayed me as I start to shake.

You’re trembling; my love!  He held me close.

Why me…? Why did you pick me? You should have let me die.

I knew my words hurt him and I wanted to take them back. He gave no emotion for what I just said to him. He huffed and spoke in more pleasant voice.

Why did I pick you? It had to be your nice back side? He kissed my nose.

Well if that’s all you liked about me then I feel bad for you since I had seen humans who had better backside than I have.

I stuck my tongue out. He laughed as if he never laughed before. It was so musical that I had to laugh with him. He just knew how to cheer me up.

Honestly you stole my heart. I could never let you die; I was in pain when I saw you almost to your death as a human. If you asked me if I would do it again; I would have to answer…Yes. He waited for my response.

I almost started to cry. That was sweet of him. How could he want me so much? My whole life no one wanted me. I had a hard time ever since I met him.

I guess I was scared to let anyone love me. Moros helped me overcome my fears of the heart. I should want a baby with him without fear of what will happen.

Yes…husband yes. I kissed him hard and that created the mood I wanted. We made a pact to have a baby.

I knew nothing of being a parent other than trying to be a mother to Tammy, but this would be different as we would be human. Eric’s hand crossed my face. My reaction was to grab it. Out of reaction I hissed at him. I was in no mood to play. Moros jumped at once when the noise came across my mouth. He pinned him down with single movement.

I’m sorry I should have knocked first, Eric yelled!

Moros moved off him as I could tell that Eric was scared to death.

Never do that to half a sleep vampire, I yelled back!

It had seemed that Eric feed on the girl he had been with. The aroma of blood was still around him.

What did you do to that girl you were with last night, I asked?

She died. I killed her. I could not help myself; she was good, he said.

I frowned at him. Then I stood in one movement by pushing Eric over and out the door. Suddenly I could smell the scent of blood to a room at the end of the hall. The poor girl was torn apart. He acted like an animal not a human. The image rolled in my head human he was no longer human. Moros rushed to my side and he used his gift to burn the girl from the inside out. The fragrance of flesh and ash fill the room. How could he do such an evil act?  I shuffled back to the bed of furs and sat down with my back to the wall. I observed Moros talk to Eric about his blood lust.

You must control yourself better, I said, but Moros held a finger to my lips; his way to shut me up.

Grumbling to myself as I understood his gestured. I tried to reach Tammy and it worked Tammy voice hit me on the side of the head.

Where are you too? I have been waiting here for you. She requested an answer.

Moros never told her that we are heading to Troy to find Tara.

Tammy; we have to find Tara in Troy first. Then we will head to my homeland. I looked over to Moros when he became engross on the rules of being a vampire. Moros was yelling at Eric about killing just any old person he finds.

Hurry I want to find Merie, she said in a panic voice.

I will try, I remarked back.

Eric, we made you because you asked to be a vampire, Moros said while poking him in the chest.

I could sense Moros mood change, as I recognized at once that his blood hunger is getting the better of him.

My love I have something better for him. Moros turned and gave me a strange face.

He looked angry and confused all in one look I almost wanted to laugh at him.

Eric, I want you to go to China and find a little girl name Tammy. She has straight long blond hair and blue eyes. She about five years of age, she is an old vampire and the same as us. Explain to her what you had seen here. She will guard over you until we get there.

Eric stared at me for only a moment and nodded. Eric bowed to each of us and was gone as fast as he could. It did not matter if he never showed up to Tammy or not. Moros and I had to find Tara fast. Should I feel bad that I wanted to be alone with Moros? I wanted Eric gone. Vampires I guess were selfish in that nature. Moros and I hunted all afternoon looking for people to feed upon. It didn’t take us long to find crime in this crowed port. I made a game out of since we had been terrible moods of late.

I taped his arm and said, You are it… and I ran off.

My prey was easy to find. A single man in an alley had stabbed a young girl. Her blood called to me as I closed in on the man.

Moros whizzed by me and said, You are it… I perceived his smile as he passed me.

I sensed his tap touch my shoulder. I ran as fast as I could and saw another alley with a large black creature in it. As I came to a halt at the edge of the wall I glanced down the long dark alley. It was not a human; it was a dog that was larger than most. I never saw a dog this big before. Moros was in another alley as he jumped on the man. The dog detected me finally and growled deeply. I sat on my knees and placed my hand out to let the dog smelled it. I met him no harm. The dog moved closer and closer until it was arm's reach from my hand. The dog was about to move my hand when the dog decided jumped on me and was licking my face. This made me laugh.

I pushed the dog off me when I saw Moros with a huge smile across his face. He reached for a kiss and the blood from his mouth flowed into mine. I gasp since I was not ready for the blood.

Sorry my love I assumed you saw I had it in my mouth. He tried to whip the blood off my chin.

You two are gross. I have no idea why Nature like you so much. I looked at Moros then at the dog who was panting away only inches away from my face.

Did that dog just talk, I asked?

Moros just nodded to me in a dumbfounded stare. This voice I knew all too well.

I blurted out, Markas is that you…?

The dog nodded and a flash of silver sparkled across my face as the silver leaf like the one I had once before dropped from his neck. I picked the necklace up. Markas was sitting in front of me. He was no longer a dog, but a human boy. Markas never changed in age. He had the form of a young boy. I never did like Markas; he was mean to me… a horrible witch. I stared at the leaf. It was the same necklace I had once dawn before and even the crystal was attached.

I told you it is meant for you and only you can control its power. You misplaced it Meeka, Markas said.

I did no such thing; it turned to dust. I hissed back in his face.

Well that’s funny since it appeared back to me again. Have you given Tara that scroll yet? She will need it soon, Markas said.

I looked at Moros who seemed busy looking over where he had killed the man from.

I will be right back; my love. Wisps of wind brushed my back a reminder he was there once.

Well you two should follow me then when Moros is done feeding you, Markas said.

I was about to say something and the odor of blood flooded my thoughts. Moros held the girl who was almost dead from the man who had tried to rape her and leave her for dead. I ended her life and feed on what was left of her blood.

It was hard enough killing her and to have Markas witnessing me the whole time just plain mean. After my meal, Moros destroy the body so we would not have to worry about anyone following us. We followed the main road back.

So, Moros how have you been, Markas said with eager looks.

I’m fine and you? How is Nature doing, Moros asked?

She is fine and you will see her soon… no make that shortly, Markas said.

I studied them talk for the next hour about me as if I was not even standing right there. My temper rose; as if I was not important to talk too. My mind also raced with thoughts about what to name our child it was crazy to have such thoughts about such things since we had no idea if we could even be human.

Lilly… that’s it that’s the name of our girl and um if a boy Salem.

That’s the name I will give them. I never noticed that both of them were now inspecting me babbling to myself.

I love both of those name my love, Moros said with excitement.

I held Moros waist as we walked on until night. Markas had his own comment on the names too.

I believe you should name the boy the same name as me. If the baby is a girl it should be Aeron. Honestly, I wanted Markas to be a dog again.

I liked you better as a dog, I yelled! He laughed at me.

Markas remarked, Why does everyone tell me that?

    I frowned at him.

Because you’re nicer as a dog than a human, I said. I stuck my tongue out at him.

Meeka thinks you’re better looking with a long tail, Moros said.

Now that’s funny, Markas said. We all started to laugh as we traveled up the road.

I kicked a rock and it danced across the road. I smiled at Moros and he tried to kick a small rock. It seems I had better aim than he did. The small rock he kicked shot up and knocked Markas in the head.

Ouch forget this… I’m going back to a dog, Markas said while rubbing his head.

Sorry Markas, Moros said. I chuckled the whole time.

The sun was still up and the colors from the clouds moved swiftly across the sky. Moros held me as we traveled on.

    Chapter 2

    Riddle

    =Tammy=

What’s taken them so long?  I kicked a small rock at the edge of my foot.

I was stuck here in the small huts that surround the Jade Palace. The servants stayed here; Meeka had made friends with a family long ago and it was easy to find a place to stay with them. It had been weeks since I lost the trail of Merie and I was becoming scared. She will not live long enough for me to save her.

Tammy…Tammy can you find Lin she is going to be late for dinner again. I looked over to the hut to see Meil yelling.

I will find her, I shouted back!

This was the type of game to hide and for me to seek you out. It was a fun game. I could smell many humans around, but Lin was easy to find. She had the scent of sage, but this time she eluded me. I paused at the edge of the market square when an odor of a vampire crosses my path. The scent froze me in place; to see what direction the scent came from. It was Haz’s scent. This was a fresh scent too.

Steadily I followed the scent until a glimpse of what I believed was Meeka walking in a different direction. I stopped dead and inspected the rocks and dirt from my feet sliding past me. I whirled around to follow Meeka’s scent. The moment she came into view she moved around another corner. I stopped in an alley that was facing the wall to the great city. This was Meeka, but it could not be her. This girl was beautiful.

She had Meeka’s eyes and her scent was almost the same. Her eyes never left me as she stared right at me. With a smile and tilted her head a few times as if she was studying me.

Are you a vampire? I cannot place my finger on it. How are you a vampire? But not a normal one. Her voice was almost as lovely as a bird.

I’m cursed human. See… I showed her my cursed marks and she just tilted her head back and forth.

How do you know so much so much?  Are you a witch, I asked her in a calm voice?

She smiled to me and this was Meeka face it was scary to see her have so much of it.

Yes… She moved gently up to my chest. The woman paused and reached for Meeka’s necklace I was about to jump back. She was like nothing I had seen before. This scared me.

This is my necklaccc…I mean my daughter’s necklace where did you get it from?

The shock almost thrown me to the ground; this was Meeka’s mother. How could she be alive? She was killed by her husband.

I was almost killed by him. You realize it is hard to kill a witch. I stay where I could protect my child and I wondering why she was not around. I cannot sense her present. So, who are you?

I was so out of words. She can read my thoughts how.

The necklace… it’s mine and you are wearing it so it gives the ability to the wearer to hear thoughts or anyone’s mind. Since it’s my necklace and I’m a witch, I can read your mind easily enough…Tammy. Plus, as a witch we can normally read minds. She looked down at the ground.

Meeka said you had died? She looked at me with a sad face.

She thinks I’m dead? How long was I away for, she asked?

She didn’t know how long she had been gone. She should be dust by now. Being immortal gives you a watchful eye on human’s growth.

We are about to have company and I would say it’s not good company. I will return when we are alone…stay safe; Tammy. I never took my eyes off her.

She was gone in a blind of eye. This was a riddle I needed to find out about. I identify the scent of Haz was closing in on me; he will hunt me down. It was a guess he was sick of me always tracking him and following him. Now I was not sure I could win. As fast as I could I slipped Meeka’s necklace back under my robe. Then I sat down waiting for what was next. While looking down observed some ants fight over something on the ground. They battled for the food. It seems that the small ants were no match for the attack of the big ants I assumed.

I had not perceived that the small piece of food was next to the smaller ant hill. Suddenly an army of ants pours out of the little hill to kill off the larger ants. The small ants became powerful and won the battle. All I could do was stare at the small ants as they ripped apart their enemy and become their food. The thought that I was small and Haz was big maybe I need my small army to beat him. In a way, I was stronger and fast but he had experience in fighting.

I would have never imagined of using ants to beat anyone in our world. It seems fun anyways and I could make a game of it I bet. Then again, I was always good at hide and seek. My mother seemed to always find me no matter where I had hidden. I never liked playing that game with her because of that. What I can remember of her is when she brushed my hair. Then she sang me a song right before I fell asleep. She told me little stories also to get me to go to sleep. I missed her a lot.

Seeing Meeka’s mother had me thought of my mother now. The thoughts of my memory of my mother was painful. All I wanted was to forget about my past. I picked up the small food and dropped it next to the small hill. The ants ran around until they found it again. I smiled and observed them hunt.

    =Moros=

I was watching the small rabbit jump from the hole in the ground out into the cold air. Animals are easy to track when you can see some glowing flames jumping about. You see animals were easy to notice they had bright colored flames like humans do. Vampires are pitch-black endless darkness of a flame. Our flame is a reflection of the vampires; other than a small ring of humanity, surrounding a dark part. I guess I would never want this curse brought upon someone who is unwilling to bears its marks. I carried the dead rabbit to the spot where Meeka was sitting at. She looked at me with horror in her eyes.

It’s not for us my love. It is for the witch; the human…Markas. She still looked at me with a look of grossness.

I’m not touching that! Even if I did know how to prepare it. I would not help that witch, she said.

Markas reached over and picked the rabbit of the ground started to skin the fur off.

I don’t why you have issues with witches Meeka since you are a witch. Markas did not skip a beat when he said the words to her.

He never even looked up to see her reactions he just continued his meal.

I’m no witch. She hissed and growled with fangs out. She was extremely angry.

You are too a witch and I can prove it, Markas snapped.

He looked up with a smile and placed the rabbit over the fire with branches that been cut for this purpose.

Markas reached into a small bag and tossed the herbs over the rabbit.

It tastes better Moros with some fresh herbs, Markas said.

    =Meeka=

I stared at Markas waiting for Moros to come back. He had been hunting for food for the witch. Markas bother me and I hated to sit near him. I thought about Tammy, but it seems she had been placing a wall up from her thoughts. Now it seems I could not reach her; at least for now. Moros came back with a rabbit dangling in his hands. It was dead I could smell the odor filling the air. He placed the rabbit at my feet. I looked at him and then back to the rabbit.

I’m not touching that! Even if I did know how to prepare it I would not help that witch. I sneered to Markas.

How could Moros toss that rabbit at my feet? I was going to have a talk with Moros when we are alone. The words spilled out of Markas stating I was a witch that’s in possible or was it. I looked at the necklace I was wearing it was being tangled up with Moros’s mother necklace. I tried to untangle it when Moros moved over to me. He had tossed the herb back to Markas so he could finish adding more to the rabbit. The rabbit smelled better than I believed it would. Moros reached over and pulled off his mother’s necklace.

No, my love I want it. Slowly I reached for the necklace back, but he held it away from me.

I will give it back soon. When I have, it made as a ring or a bracelet, he said to me while brushing my cheek that gave me shivers. I guess I will let him hold it for now.

Now to prove you’re a witch I will show you what I mean and was talking about.

Markas quickly stabbed the rabbit then looked back to us both noticing him.

All witches have a main ability. My main ability is to transform into a creature at will. That’s how I disappear so fast; I change.

I looked at Moros then back to Markas he was a black dog again. Then a moment later, he was a human again.

The witch who cursed you had the ability to create curses. It may be that you will never be able to remove the curse at all. This main ability does not use any spells. You can just cast it or use it, he said. I looked at Moros who was looking even more worried than I was.

Then there is no hope for us is there, Moros said with disappointment.

There is always some sort of hope Moros. He looked at me then to Moros.

If you can change into creatures and Victoria could curse us then what could I do, I asked?

He ripped off a small piece of rabbit to check to see if it’s done. He was licking his fingers.

You …you should not have such gifts. His mood had changed it was angry I could tell. I was about to talk when Moros spoke first cutting me off.

Meeka would like to know and I wish too as well, Moros said while handing Markas a cup.

Markas reached for the cup, She has the ability to change someone’s world. Meeka is the most powerful witch I have ever met. She is a waste of power. Meeka knows nothing.

The temper boiled over in me and I hissed and growled. Moros was fast and he already had me in grip.

I would be nice if I was you. Meeka has a temper and I would not want to be in the receiving end of it, Moros said.

She changed her world once. She must be careful… it is bad to change your own life, he said.

Markas took a bite of a leg of the rabbit that was cooked.

It now makes sense that now I gave Moros his gift…I …I was a witch. Ulg, I said to myself.

The necklace you wear; is a symbol of your power it will always find you and protect you when you need it. It is also a way for you to hide yourself if your life's in danger like a vessel. Make sure it is never destroyed. If it is you will be destroyed along with it.

His words echoed the destruction of Victory by Moros own hand. It then dawned on me how did Moros know that destroying the necklace would destroy the witch. It was her demise when she cursed Tammy’s mother. Moros held my hand as I viewed Markas as he destroys the rabbit as engulf the whole thing. I would have been grossed out, but being on a ship full of sea man observing them eat this was tame compared to them.

So, you’re telling me that all of us witches have a necklace, I asked? Markas laughed and was at the point of choking.

No…no we don’t all have necklaces. Some of us have other items that do the same thing as your necklace. Mine is a claw of a bird, he reached into his robe and pulled out a dead dried up claw of I was going to guess a hawk. I was glad I did not get a dried-up claw that was just gross. I assumed for a moment and it struck me. Moros was about to step back since I was crushing him and I was not realizing it.

You said every witch has one so; this would mean my mother was a witch, I murmured. Markas just nodded as he tore through a leg of the rabbit.

Yes, we normally get our powers from the woman’s side of the family. Moros looked at me as I looked up to him.

Therefore, what does that mean I pondered the question repeatedly in my head to change one’s life? It bothered me because I hated riddles no one ever gives me a straight answer.

I was getting tired and I had reached all I could for the evening. One of favorite past times is too laid on him as I do every night my soft pillow.

Good night my love. Also, good night Markas. I closed my eyes.

The whole night I dreamed of the past. My eyes fluttered open in a panic to find myself still wrapped around him. I struggled to become more entangled into Moros as I wanted to as close to him as possible. The dream did not end as visions of people who I killed haunted me. If I went back in time to my younger days and stole myself. And then found Moros and made sure they had a child before Moros was turned it would be perfect. It was a dream if I change anything in my past I could destroy my future.

I tried each new way to place myself in different place and time. The end results that I was up wide-awake most of the night as time in my head moved forward. The fact I tried everything and found I could have a child with Moros. Moros wanted a child and I also thought I wanted one as well. When I opened my eyes, I noticed a glimpse of a silver robe. It shined brightly in the night some hundred feet behind some trees as it flowed by. I tried to move off Moros when he jerked to his side then rolled over. I was free and he was still sound asleep.

Markas was also slept as I sneaked by both of them. I looked up to see the moon was full and bright. The robe seemed to float through the trees and a second of a silver long hair also flowed behind the robe. She was young I would think she was around my age. I thought this must be Nature. Since I had seen Nature before as a child then as young woman then as an old maiden. I reached for the young woman; my hand slipped around her arm and she stop and spun around. It was no one I had ever seen before. She was breath taken.

Very beautiful almost non-human. She had long flowing silver hair; green eyes and a face that was young. She was in a dress I have never seen before it was almost transparent.

Nature… Is that you? I looked into her soft eyes.

Nature… Her voice sang in the wind. The animals of the night also seemed to recognize she was around.

Markas is at our camp, I whispered.

I do not know who Markas is; nor do I recognize who this Nature is either. I’m familiar with what nature is. She all around us. I let her go as her words sounded confused.

    My mind raced and it
