Chapter 1

Exodus 20:6

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

God, help me to love you and your ways more than anything. Help me to know your word and keep your commandments always. Let my life show others the truth and your love. Let my obedience of your word show my love for you. Help me to understand your commandments. Let me be able to teach others your ways. In Jesus name I ask you to guide me. Amen.

Leviticus 19:18

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Lord, help me to remember that you have created all of us. Help me to love everyone, even those I have never met. Help me to pray for others and be helpful. Help me never to think I am better than anyone else. Help me to show your love to my neighbor and to others I meet. Help me to treat them with respect. Help me to love the way you do. In Jesus name, help me to remember this thought each day.

Deuteronomy 6:5

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

God, help me to always love you just the way this verse says to. Even when I don’t understand things or get my way help me to love you. Help me to know that you love me and created me. Don’t let me fall into temptation. Keep hate, bitterness, confusion and all other things out of my heart that are not of you. Let nothing keep me from my relationship with you. Help me to value that relationship above all others. Help me to love you as you love me. Let your love shine through me. Be my first priority in Jesus name. Amen.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Dear God, help me to remember how much you love me. Thank you for showing your love in all your blessings. Help me to remember how faithful you are. Help me to remind others of your faithfulness especially to those who serve you. Help me to show mercy to others as you show mercy to me. Help me to see the beauty and blessings around me which remind me of your faithfulness. I love you and wish to serve you all of my days. I also pray that others will make that commitment to love and serve you. I pray for my family to love and serve you.

Deuteronomy 10:18

He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

God help me to remember that you are the judge. You provide for our needs and I thank you for that. Help me to show love to other even strangers. Help me to be like you and help those who can not help themselves. Help me to love those who are considered outcasts. Thank you for all your blessings.

Deuteronomy 10:19

Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Dear Lord, help me to remember this world is not my home. Help me to remember that strangers can turn into friends. Help me not to think I’m better than anyone. Help me to love even those I haven’t met.

Deuteronomy 23:5

Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

God Thank you for your love and power. Help me to remember your ways. Help me to do good. Thank you for helping me in hard times. Thank you for turning bad situations into a time of blessing. When I am in a trial, help me to remember these things. Help me to feel your love and know that you are with me.

Deuteronomy 30:6

And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Dear God, take away anything in my heart that is not of you. Cut away spiritually those feelings and attitudes that are not of you. Put a love for you and others in my heart. Take away hatred or anything that would keep me from you. Help me to always love you more than anything or anyone. Help me to know you love me and that is why you correct me. Help me to have that eternal spiritual life. Feel my heart with your spirit.

1 Kings 3:3

And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

God, help me to remember to worship you always. Let your love shine from me each day. Just as David showed his son Solomon the importance of loving you, help me be that kind of example to others. Let me not just say I love God but show it in all I do.

1 Kings 11:2

Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go into them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

Lord help me to keep my heart pure. Help me not to love other things more than you. Help me to see that if I allow others to lead me instead of you that I will not be as blessed as you want me to be. Help me to study your word and check it before following someone. If they tell me something that is against your word let me be strong enough to turn away. Help me to be strong and follow you. Let your love lead and guide me.

Job 19:19

All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.

God, help me to remember even in times when I feel alone that you are with me. Sometimes people I care about won’t want to follow you. They may turn against me, but help me to always follow you. Help me to continue to love and pray for them. Help me to grow as a better person in your love.

Psalms 5:11

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

God, help me to put my trust in you. Help to always remember the victory you give. Help me to shout your praises. Thank you for the joy you give. Thank you for your love. Help me to pass this love and joy to others.

Psalms 11:5

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Dear Lord, help me to remember even in my trials you love me. Help me not to love wicked things. Help me not to become violent and angry. Help me to continue to love and trust you.

Psalms 18:1

(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,) I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

Lord, help me to remember my love and relationship with you is my strength. You make me strong. You are my deliverer. You have given me victory. Help me to always remember your love makes me strong.

Psalms 26:8

LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

Lord, help me to remember how important a good church is. It is a place of refuge and honor for you. I can go their to fellowship with other believers and be encouraged. I can go their to be alone with you. The church is a symbol of a place specifically dedicated to you alone. Help me to love your house and to bring others to it.

Chapter 2

Psalms 37:28

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

God, help me to remember that you alone are the judge. I am here to live for you and show your love to others. I must be strong in your truth and be compassionate to other. Help me to value this relationship with you and stay close to you. Keep your love burning in my heart.

Psalms 40:16

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Lord, help me to seek you and be happy in your love. Help me to rejoice with others who love you. Let us encourage each other and worship you together. Let us be happy we are saved and continue to know you more. I magnify and praise you. Thank you for loving me.

Psalms 109:4

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

God, help me in my trials. I pray for my enemies. I pray for any situations and trials. I pray that you will help me to overcome these trials. I pray you will help me to love even those who hurt me. Help me not to forget your love. I give myself to you. I love you.

Psalms 119:140

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

God, your love and your ways are pure. I am your servant and I love you. Help my heart to be pure. Let my actions and my words be pure as your love is. I love you.

Psalms 119:165

Great peace have they which
