Before the Darkness Comes Your Heart is a collection a decade in the making. It is also the first book in the Hearts in Darkness series. With that being said, this author has one primary goal in mind for you; to be gripped with creativity and to share your own ideas with the world. I was informed that third person is the appropriate way to create a foreword and I have decided I feel too awkward speaking about myself as…well, myself. In my mind, a foreword is the opportunity for the author to speak to his or her readers in their own voice. On that note, I consider what I have created in this book and any future works as mental vomit. Not the most tactful way of putting it but monsters can’t always be easy on the eyes.
