The School Years

Introduction To The Music Stories
For a long while now I have been working on what I like to call ‘Music Stories’ which is a short story that is inspired by a song using the lyrics from that song as the main focus of the characters spoken word.
The music videos do not reflect the song and the meaning gets lost or mistaken. Every song is a story to be told and then we take that song and put our own meaning behind it but what if we are putting the wrong meaning behind the songs then our own meanings can’t make sense.
Just because a song says ‘You’re Beautiful’ doesn’t mean that the song is a love song and to dedicate it to a loved one is wrong as that is not the songs meaning. A guy was in the subway and he sees his ex with another man (Which is in the lyrics) and the song is about what he felt when he saw that, so how can you dedicate that to your loved one when the song is for an ex and with no meaning to the music video then we can lose the meaning but really we should listen to the lyrics.
These stories are to put the lyrics into a different light and hopefully we can see new meanings to the songs and know that every song has it’s own story and it is for us to listen to and to be taken on a journey whether that is your own story close to your heart or a story that your imagination takes you on.
The stories are in script format so that as you read you can let your imagination run wild with the story and act it out in your head. The centred text is the lyrics to the song which is why it is set out like that so the lyrics are easy to identify with all lyrics coming from the band/writer themselves.

The songs tend to be interpreted differently even by myself after I write them so it's usually whatever people take from them really.

A Note
In our lives we see people that are different from ourselves but that doesn’t mean that they are different from what we do or like as we are all different but just that in some people we see it more then others as they express things in the open rather than behind closed doors.
We all have different tastes but now in this modern world we get surprised by peoples tastes as they do not look the part of what they might be into as people are getting better at hiding their true selves and just showing what needs to be shown so that they fit in and not get thrown to one side for liking the different.
We are who we are and that is it, if people don’t like it then so what, let them have their fake people around them as they all would prefer to fit in rather then be their true selves, while you can live in the world you want and leave them to be fake and unhappy. It might mean losing out for a while but you will soon meet people that are different like you as all you have to do is look hard enough to see them.

The Suicide Note…
First I would like to say I am sorry to you for finding this letter and the diary that it is attached to and that you have not stumbled onto anything special as I am no-one of any importance but in a way I suppose I did leave this behind so it might have been only a matter of time before someone did find this.
