Caught in the Crevices of Our Banality - Kimball Mayes

    Banality

    One

    Empathy and compassion ~

    The symbiotic lovers

    Form the perfect concept

    To exclusion of all others:

    Unity of thought

      The highest Love expression,

    Whether uttered or unspoken,

    In a flash is understood.

    A spark ignites the oneness:

    Flame kindled ~ eternal Good.

    The spiritual connection made ~

    A beacon: unveiling

    Buoy, barque and channel

    Thru which to navigate.

It is the life ring and the dock.

It is the shelter and the rock.

    That which is the landing

Is all things possible with God.

    It passeth understanding

    And is beyond compare.

    Ultimate communion guides,

    Where unaided ear is frail,

And lifts up to the highest point ~

    For Mind can never fail.

    In eternal Mind we’re one

    Though there exists no token:

    Material symbols cannot last,

    But Love remains unbroken.

    Hand in Glove

    Two ideas that fit

    Like hand in glove

    Were made by Him

    Who is the only Love.

    These two in pre-existence

    For one another

    Are revealed to be constructed

    And for no other.

    God must have taken

    A long time makin’

    Us:

    We are the colors,

    We are the singing.

    We are the dancing,

    We are the speaking,

    We are the loving,

    We are the moving,

    We are that perfect
