Cost of Silk
I have worked hard
much to chagrin of others
only to present to you
the best of birthday gifts:
the silk made by
my body and my soul.
A Mistake of Internet Belle
Alone in the café crowd,
she checks her curls and earrings
in the mirror of her phone.
Then, she smiles at his picture again.
He should have come by now.
Girls in the café guard their lovers
from her probing
