    Chains of the Heart

    Our hearts are bound

    by thousands of chains.

    They represent all emotions

    from love to pain.

    Chains that cross valleys

    and bond through fire.

    Chains that are steel strong

    or as thin as wire.

    These chains are everywhere

    that people can be found.

    They connect us to those

    that are all around.

They leap from heart to heart

    in a marvelous way.

    They are ever present

    every single day.

    Rejection is the enemy

    as it breaks the chains.

Yet also beware of the morphing

    chain of pain.

    Those who look closely

    will notice a new art

in the form of the patterns made by

    the chains of the heart.

    Love Poems

    Becoming A Tree

    Love is something I’m denied,

    And never freely given.

The reason why I do not know

    For it is always hidden.

    I do hope,

But that’s a word without real truth

    And I can’t believe for

    I have never had proof.

She is different then all the rest

And that is easy to see.

Is she my hope? Is she my dream?

Is she truly right for me?

    I can’t tell. I don’t know.

I’m a poet lost for words.

My poems only break the waves

And this answer I have never heard.

    So this poem is written

    Strictly for her.

    The end result?

    I’m not sure.

    Here I go

    Into the unknown.

This is what your worth to me…

Your like a book I want to read

With a life that blossoms free.

    You’re my sun that feeds

    Me with your smile,

    And the brightness you

    Push into my eternal dark.

    I’m stuck with no where

    For me to go.

    You gave me an escape.

I want to cry and laugh.

    Scream for all to
