Preface
Salaam. May peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
The following message focuses on the marriage process undertaken by millions of Muslims across the globe and the evident issues that have arisen/are arising that must be discussed in a mature, respectful manner between the elders and youth in our global community. Where I have addressed parents I am also addressing any guardians who may have raised/looked after a child up to their adulthood and are their responsible elder.
Please add on issues I have forgotten or not come across as I am sure I have not listed all the problems people are facing today in various cultures across a global scale regarding marriage. In parts I will be discussing specific issues faced by Bengalis (Indians and Pakistanis may be able to relate more as we come from very similar desi upbringings) but I know these issues remain irrespective of race and sex.
