Mary inherited a successful business from her father. It should have been her brother, but she turned out to be the one most like her father, ambitious. She put herself forward as state governor and surprisingly won. All she cared about was adding to the business empire inherited from her father. Her brother did a good job looking after her, managing the campaign and her schedule. He looked after her, ensuring everything in business and politics went smoothly. She had the ambition, motivation, direction, and he had the contacts to get things done. People liked him and were willing to deal with him.

The only thing he couldn't do for her was get her pregnant. Neither could she, but it didn't seem to matter, as she put all her efforts into business and politics. She had the energy to do a good job, and helped a lot of people along the way.

When an alien research vessel arrived on earth, there was suddenly more to play for. The stakes were high and she was determine to win a deal. They didn't seem hungry for profit or even a deal. The didn't seem to appreciate their technology would make profits. The politicians were flummoxed, fighting each other rather than concentrating on what was important.

What was important? Mary thought business was most important, but it turned out her whole attitude would change. A sudden change in circumstances, in a physical way, had her hooked on a completely different course of action.

Reading is a passion, both fiction and non-fiction. Writing is a hobby I've enjoyed for many years, and write anything and everything, though recently I've concentrated on world war 2 stories, science fiction, and erotica. Erotica has been more of a challenge than I thought. First it was realised I didn't know as much as first thought. The range of human sexuality is so wide, and often very particular. The same word or phrase in a story can turn someone on, and someone else off. Some women like a story where the female character is humiliated, in fantasy only, and others think it is terrible. It is very true that you can't satisfy all the people all the of the time, and sometimes only one or two readers will like a theme.A common theme of these stories is where a main character is mistaken for someone else, and continues the error from not wanting to be embarrassed. They may suffer greater humiliation from not correcting the mistake right at the beginning, and letting it spiral out of control. But then, it wouldn't be a story if they did the right thing.It is usual for the main character to grow stronger, get what they really want, or fall in love, in the end. Up until then they blunder around, trying to avoid a confrontation, being silly, and treated as though they are stupid, until the truth is revealed or they find it wasn't an accident, they wanted the situation to develop. Some inner need is revealed, and they grow to endorse it.There are other themes in my writing, but they are for you to discover.Don't forget writing is difficult and painful at times, so buying a book is some small reward to encourage a writer to continue. 'I didn’t get elected because I’m a nice person. I was elected because I put daddy’s money in the election fund and had more money than anyone else to spend on promoting my image. I got votes from men because I look good, I know that too,' Mary stated.

'While I’m governor of this state, I’m going to make more money than my father ever did. Afterwards, I’m going to make even more. So shut up complaining and get on with it,' Mary firmly told him.

'It's because you’re the state governor you can’t go, it’s too dangerous. They’re a male dominated society, you don’t know their language and they could hold you hostage,' her brother retaliated.

'Read the reports, damn it! They are scientists. They don’t do war. Because they are men, I’ll be able to handle them,' Mary scolded her brother.

'They don’t have women aboard the ship. You would be vulnerable up there,' John
