About this ebook
Bernice had a compulsion to compete with her friend, Jane. Jane had used one of the standard household androids to spy on her husband, and failed. The new world marriage contract meant a spouse could have their own time and space to themselves at least once a week, which intrigued both women. What were the men getting up to? They of course had their secrets, especially Jane, which was something that would cause Bernice a lot of trouble.
Being wealthy, Bernice could put a lot more effort into spying on her husband, and was determined to win the competition. Leasing a sophisticated android would give her a better chance to get at her husband, while she was out. Thinking over the plan, she realised she could take the android maid's place, and directly spy on her husband. It took a lot more effort, but she managed to set the android up to take her place. The android would be sent out shopping, or away somewhere, and she could stay home serving her husband, looking, behaving, and sounding like the android maid. Practising by going shopping as an android maid, she found it worked.
Having set herself up to be programmed as an android maid, she felt so very clever, and ready to spy upon her husband. Of course, something went wrong. In a desperate moment, Bernice needed to swap back with her android, only the process had been interfered with. Bernice needed to find out what had gone wrong, and who was manipulating her, so as to regain her rightful place in the household. It was humiliating being treated like a mere android in her own home, with the household androids treating her like one of them, and ignoring her attempts to issue orders.

Reading is a passion, both fiction and non-fiction. Writing is a hobby I've enjoyed for many years, and write anything and everything, though recently I've concentrated on world war 2 stories, science fiction, and erotica. Erotica has been more of a challenge than I thought. First it was realised I didn't know as much as first thought. The range of human sexuality is so wide, and often very particular. The same word or phrase in a story can turn someone on, and someone else off. Some women like a story where the female character is humiliated, in fantasy only, and others think it is terrible. It is very true that you can't satisfy all the people all the of the time, and sometimes only one or two readers will like a theme.A common theme of these stories is where a main character is mistaken for someone else, and continues the error from not wanting to be embarrassed. They may suffer greater humiliation from not correcting the mistake right at the beginning, and letting it spiral out of control. But then, it wouldn't be a story if they did the right thing. It is usual for the main character to grow stronger, get what they really want, or fall in love, in the end. Up until then they blunder around, trying to avoid a confrontation, being silly, and treated as though they are stupid, until the truth is revealed or they find it wasn't an accident, they wanted the situation to develop. Some inner need is revealed, and they grow to endorse it.There are other themes in my writing, but they are for you to discover.Don't forget writing is difficult and painful at times, so buying a book is some small reward to encourage a writer to continue. It is a form of recognition for all the hard work. So, thank you for sponsoring for my art, Gary

Everything had been prepared in detail by Bernice, who wanted to find out what her husband, Harold, got up to when he was on his own. It wasn't distrust as such, it was curiosity and boredom. The need to know had grown from a chance remark about a hobby he enjoyed, without finding out what it was.
It was recognised in their society that a married couple had their own space and could do anything they liked, without the partner interfering, or even asking what they were doing. It was their free time, a space to be an individual. Her friend, Jane, had failed at spying on her husband, so there was a strong incentive to outdo her.
A big question was whether or not he would be able to detect the difference? Would he detect his wife had been replaced by a sophisticated android? Would he treat her like a convenient maid android, something to be used and abused. Would he treat the real android like a wife, with respect and loving care?
Though, if present behaviour was a guide to his reaction, both the android wife, and his wife pretending to be an android, would be ignored. She was a neglected trophy wife, just there to organise his home, and of course she was bored.
It was easy to say nice things, but did he mean them?
Her friend, Jane, had tried a deception, but the android's programming had been deficient. It hadn't been able to get the information Jane wanted from her husband, at least nothing important. The household android just wasn’t sophisticated enough.
Bernice had a more intricate plan, and intended to make it work by actually swapping places with their android maid. As a maid Bernice could get close to him, and would be ignored, so that she could observe his behaviour to find out what he was up to. It wasn’t that she mistrusted him, it was the intrigue and competitiveness with her friend that motivated her.
She looked forward to showing her friend what a wonderful husband she had, and how clever she was. A lot of people thought she was a dumb blond, just a housewife that looked good. She had a university degree and it wasn't because she looked attractive, and flirted with the teachers.
What made people think Bernice was a dumb blond, was her long blond hair, of course, as well as her voluptuous figure, and a lack of practical common sense. She
