Introduction

First, I would like to thank God for His amazing grace. I am forever outdone by His love for me. I would like to give a special thanks to Lady Demetra Strickland Peoples for being an awesome wife to me for nearly 26 years. I want to honor and thank God for my parents, the late Deacon Charlie and Betty Peoples. You guys gave me an awesome foundation. May you guys continue to rest in paradise. I bless God for putting some exceptional special men in my life. I thank God for Pastor Walter E. Ellis & Bishop Darryl S. Brister. These guys have been a tremendous blessing to me over the many years. Additionally, I cannot thank God enough for my church family, the Love Center Church of Montgomery. TLC, as we are affectionately called, has always supported me in every assignment the Lord has given me, and, in a few assignments, He obviously did not give me.

I believe what makes this book so unique is that it is written from a natural and a biblical world view. It is written primarily from a place of experience and more importantly a place of divine revelation. For many years, I have helped a number of couples and singles with relationship challenges. My keep it real approach has saved a lot of marriages and has helped guide numerous singles in the right path. This book entails a life of accumulated experience from a life of dating, divorce and nearly 30 years in marriage. My experiences include the life of a player, but it also includes a life of being played. I was played so you would not have to. Hosea 4:6 says, My people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge. For some, dating is much like a game and you MUST know the rules of the game. Do not take another L (loss). This book reveals the dos and the don’ts of the game. Experience God’s best for your life by knowing the TRUTH on dating and relationships.

Other than receiving Christ as your Lord and Savior, one of the most important decisions you will make in life will involve the decision of who you will marry. The quality of life and happiness is largely determined by who you marry. If you marry a good person, the chances are great that you will have
