"Why do good relationships fail" and "why do bad things happen to good people"? These were the two most important questions I needed an answer to as a young teenager.
I asked my parents, uncles and aunties, my teachers and everyone I came across no one ever gave me satisfactory answers.
Everyone's response suggested it was normal to experience failure in a relationship or to experience bad things in life. Everyone sounded like failure was a natural disaster that just occurs without human's control. But as I grow older, I began to realize that failures are not natural but man-made.
Failure is failure. Whether it is an examination, financial, or relationship failure, they are certainly caused by something. This was the first reality I got.

For example, a student fails when they fail to prepare adequately for their examination and financial failure occurs as a result of limited financial knowledge. If this was true, I knew relationship or marriage failure equally has a cause. With this conviction, I began to study why relationships fail by reflecting on my past experiences and of those around me.
It was during this course I realize that relationships don't just fail but human cause them to fail by their actions and reactions.
A simple dating can lead to healthy and lasting marriages if only we can identify and avoid these toxics behaviours that destroy relationships.
