Before you can begin to repair your relationship, you first need to figure out what it is that needs to be fixed. If you go to a doctor because you feel that you aren’t well, the doctor will check your whole body and ask you several questions before you are diagnosed and a remedy is prescribed. In the same way, it is important to look at all aspects of your relationship to determine where the problem lies and how to fix it.  It is very seldom that there is only one person in a relationship that is in the wrong. The most important part of your journey towards healing your relationship will be your willingness and ability to be honest with yourself. It is not easy to own up and admit that you are the cause of some of the issues in your relationship, but if you are willing to do so, you will have taken a huge step in a positive direction. 

Be honest about your relationship. Couples are often in denial about the state of their relationship and just keep on plodding through one day after the other with a vague hope somewhere in the back of their minds that things will become better of their own accord.
