About this ebook
There is nothing as magnificent and awesome in all of creation as the Amazing Love of God. That the Creator of the all things, visible and invisible, should love seemingly insignificant people is a wonder that saints have pondered throughout the ages.
"What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?" said the Psalmist long ago (Psalm 8:4).
Paul, the New Testament Apostle, knew something about this great love of God, and he longed that believers of all ages would begin to understand and comprehend something of it's length, depth, height and breadth. It is a message we need today.
God is for us .. His Grace (undeserved favor) is extended freely to His children. He is our Heavenly Father, unlike any human father or friend.
This is an incomprehensible truth - "it surpasses knowledge" (Eph. 3:19), wrote Paul. At the same time, the incredible quality of God's love can be revealed to us by the Spirit of God .. and that was Paul's heartfelt prayer for the Church of Jesus Christ of all ages.
May the Amazing Love of God encourage and delight us as we meditate on this wonderful truth in this very special 31-day Devotional.

The Amazing Love of God - Val Waldeck
1. Paul’s Prayer
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height; to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
(Eph. 3:14-21).
We take note of a number of truths in this prayer. God's personal love for each one of us is so great that it takes revelation-knowledge for us to begin to grasp something of it's reality. It encompasses the whole family of God - every individual, in heaven or on earth. It's revelation is not limited to our finite understanding, but He grants it in according with the riches of His glory.
The result of a deeper understanding of His love causes us to become stable, strengthened and full of His Glory, reflecting His love to others around us. Only God can bring that about as we allow Him to work in our lives and shine through us to others.
Do you know something about the depths of God's love? He wants you to. Why not personalize this prayer and make it your own? Your life will be revolutionized.
Remember, God does not just love, He is Love (1 John 4:8).
2. Our Heavenly Father
"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ." (Eph. 3:14).
Human beings are very fallible and frail, and the best of human fathers fall far short of the glory of God. Some have had such dreadful fathers that the very word conjures up a nightmare. Our Heavenly Father has our best interests at heart, and He loves us with a perfect love. That is hard of many of us to grasp. Somehow, we feel that we must earn
His approval and deserve
His love. Nothing could be further from the truth.
My friend, Ray Ludik, wrote a beautiful song that inspires me every time I hear it. Called The Father's Love
, the words go something like this: My Father doesn’t only love His children now and then; His love is forever. Amen
When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, the first thing He told them was that they should come to Our Father in Heaven.
Start here, He said. Meditate on the Father's love. Come into relationship with the One who truly loves His children.
Are you perhaps feeling today that – although you know God loves you
- His love is a little distant? It's a theological thing
that doesn't
