Introduction to Being A REALTOR®
Being A Real Estate Agent is one of the most exciting career fields. However, nothing about it is easy, and if you're looking for a comfortable career, this is not for you. It takes more than just a fashion look, as most people may assume, which is just part of your standards. The agents do not just look good and make a lot of money. Sometimes, REALTORS do not make money at all, so then what does that mean?
The truth is, there are days when you may not even have the time and energy to make yourself look flashy.
You may be walking through multiple properties that are less than livable, or you just need something to cover your legs and forearms to keep away from bugs.
In those regards, just do the best you can. In retrospect, the only reality is that you're assisting a family with a real decision and helping them organize their thought process for a life change. This field, I love, because it has taught me discipline.
It's not the I got to go to sleep and wake up, get dressed, go clock the time, make a list of things to get off work and let all else that I didn't know existed, fly by.
Discipline. I mean that I have jumped off a bridge doing this line of work discipline. That I left my full-time job, so this got to work,
Discipline.
I have worked at so many retail stores, just drifting
as the famous Napoleon Hill worded it.
I spent time training myself to focus for a set time, which is now a constant 3-hour interval, or the act of just doing this thing (real estate) every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. I still do this, and it is my system – it works.
I never work regular hours because the truth is that this field flows into your life. You will spend time away from your family, showing properties, and this applies to anyone who chooses the corporate world of Real Estate. However, try to stick to the weekly flow and have a safety net. Pay the price ahead, knowing that it will be your season, but do it Just and do it right, that is what we call Realtors – Integrity.
However, you got here, irrespective of the journey and story that brought you to the doors of real estate.
That was the path you were meant to lead, but now say this in your mind, this I have given a try, and I will not stop until I see a return on my invested time, school, and money.
In any business, the primary objective is to increase, but what we don’t know is that the number one profit objective is to break even. Then they forget to tell you; it’s ok if you take a loss. Now, just take the dividends you make from this loss and try to make a better decision next time. Stop watching the next man's
