PREFACE
CONGRATULATIONS! You just purchased an inexpensive resource that will help you decide if you should become a Real Estate Agent. After reading 22 Questions, you will be closer to making your decision on this career path. 22 Questions will give you real insight on what you should consider BEFORE venturing into this career. I have seen the following types of people:
•People that completed real estate school, but did not go back to take the exam
•People that completed real estate school, passed the exam, but still did not become a Real Estate Agent
•People that completed real estate school, passed the exam, became a Real Estate Agent, but QUIT before even giving the career a real chance
I want to equip you before you rush off to real estate school; to possibly waste time, money and energy. This book is written in such a way to ensure you know which way to go. After reading 22 Questions, you will be excited to continue your pursuit of this career, take the next step to get started; or, you will determine that this career is not your best fit.
I wrote 22 Questions to answer the following questions for adults considering this career:
1. Should I pursue a career as a Real Estate Agent?
2. What is required of me to become a Real Estate Agent?
3. Do I have what it takes to be successful in the real estate industry?
4. Can I afford to be a Real Estate Agent?
5. How much money can I really make as a Real Estate Agent?
I share with you the truth, wisdom, and insight on what will be required of you should you become a Real Estate Agent. I share the advantages and disadvantages of this career. I want to expose you to the important truths that will either influence your decision to move forward in your pursuit or either keep you from making a costly mistake.
As a seasoned Real Estate Agent, I have real, raw experience on the encounters that you must be prepared to face if you decide that this career choice is for you. I love being a Real Estate Agent. It is one of the absolute best decisions that I have made in my adult life. However, I do know that everyone is not cut out to be successful in this industry. My goal is to increase your personal self-awareness and help you calculate the costs of becoming a Real Estate Agent effectively.
Being a Real Estate Agent has tons of rewards. One of the most important rewards is the joy you will experience when helping individuals and families receive the American Dream of homeownership.
Purchasing a home is one of the proudest moments in one’s lifetime. As a Real Estate Agent, you have the honor handing the keys over to new homeowners (and sellers). You will be privileged to serve all types of people in your community – newlyweds, college graduates, single parents, military families, first time home buyers, empty nesters, senior adults, friends, family and more!
To be a part of such a monumental moment is incredibly significant. Closing with your clients is a special feeling each time, no matter how many homes you have SOLD. Each time you sell a home to another client you will experience excitement and fulfillment in your work.
This same fulfillment is true when you help a seller get their home SOLD. The process is different working with a seller than it is with a buyer. A seller may sell their home for various reasons: need to upgrade to a larger home, because of a growing family; downsize, because their children are all grown; experiencing a divorce, a spouse dies; or to prevent a foreclosure. No matter why they need or want to sell, you will still get that same great feeling when you help them meet their needs. Your career as a Real Estate Agent
