About this ebook

I have been a licensed Realtor since 2005. I have mentored many new Realtor's right after they are registered and I see mistakes that they make time after time. The same mistakes that I had made when I first registered as a Realtor.

Even though I had family who had been in the business and I had worked as the equivalent of an unlicensed assistant it had been a long time. So years later I started taking my courses and I knew some of what I should do. I still ended up wasting my time and money when I was fully registered.

If I had only known then what I knew now.... It is not just myself either. Most people looking at taking the Real Estate courses are in the same position.

In Canada or the US these are the actions and activities you should be doing NOW before you are fully registered.

Don’t be caught in the traps and pitfalls that other new Realtor's hit. Make the first six months as productive as any experienced Realtor's six months.

Actions and activities you need to work on from before you take the first course all the way through to when you finally finish your last course and are signing up with a Real Estate Company.

This book is not about the real estate courses you could, or are taking. If you follow the direction within this book it will mean that you waste less time doing administrative work when you finish the last course and can instead focus on generating leads and working on money making transactions.

A licenced Realtor, A serving member of the Canadian Forces Reserve for over 26 years, married with 2 great small boys. Life is busy. The different books and massively different genres? All different facets to Tom's personality. His personal motto? "STAY POSITIVE!" Enjoy the books and check out the website for more information.

My work would never be finished if I did not have assistance from others. Sometimes it is a kick in the rear, sometimes it is a kind word.

Thank you to Carol, my mom, and Robin Schroffel for editing this work and those kind words.

Thanks to Shawna Smoke for the cover art (nice job!) and to Angie Zambrano that created the front cover - keep up the good work!

To Jenn, my wife, who was not in love with my writing this but who nevertheless, left me to work in the dark hours when everyone else was sleeping so that I could get this out of my head.

Thank you all.

I would love to make that money.

They only work hours a week.

He is always on the golf course.

She is always at the gym and is an absolute social butterfly.

He just came back from another vacation. I don't think he really works; it must be so nice.

These are the siren songs that pull some people toward real estate as a career. It is important to realize that this level of success does not happen overnight in most cases. Real estate is actually quite hard and demanding. The hours are not set, and with great potential income, comes great responsibilities.

This book is not about just taking the courses and then discovering what needs to be done. This is a description and some explanation of what you need to be doing before, during and right after your courses are over.
