About this ebook
The subtitle of this book by the Italian author Dana Neri is 'Poetry in the Time of Coronavirus'. These are poems written during the covid-19 pandemic lockdown. In the midst of despair and solitude a glimmer of Hope makes its way, thanks to Poetry.
The cover depicts a stylised image of the ultrastructure of the Covid-19 virus. The book contains illustrations made by the author.
'Everything Will be ok: Poetry in the Time of Coronavirus' is the English translation of the book 'Andrà tutto bene: la Poesia ai tempi del coronavirus' (in Italian).
"Some abs, a couple of squats/a jog on the spot/and the day begins./One 'Hail Mary', one 'Our Father',/one 'Covid 19 Have Mercy on Us'/while getting out of bed./And everything is fine,/all set, all there,/where it has always been,/as if nothing happened./Let all Hope enter here/for anyone like me who wants to stay by the door./Go ahead, run,/I'm in no hurry."

To my loved ones.
To all those who have the courage to believe in Poetry.
#everythingwillbeOK
The tailor in my mind says that #everythingwillbeOK.
He removes pins from his lips like flowers
and looks like a magician.
Who knows, maybe he also has a crystal ball
in which he sees everything,
from which he predicts everything.
Everything will be OK.
we will mark this with chalk,
we will do a hem stitch here
and you will feel better there.
I don't want to feel better
if it's decided by a line of magnesium silicate.
I don't want to feel better
if they have to cut a piece of my soul for it.
#everythingwillbeOK maybe one day,
but for now it's not ok at all, nothing is fine.
Right now, I'd like to rip these clothes off
and simply run away.
Away from it all.
Without destinations, without limits, without restrictions
without any pins scratching my calves.
#everythingwillbeOK definitely
but right now let me run and cry in peace,
if you don't mind,
just for a few moments.
We are hibernating beasts
We are hibernating beasts.
Turtles hiding in their
