Jeffery Stone
A man of many talents, author Jeffery Stone has a creative mind. As a musician he plays guitars, bass, and keyboards. As a songwriter/poet his works include hundreds of songs, poems and lyrics. He has availed himself to learn whatever tools were necessary to facilitate his creativity. Thus, publisher, recording engineer, and artist/designer can also be added to his list of talents. His first major literary work is his family tree autobiographical. The Jeff Chronicles is an accounting about delightfully discovering unexpected connections of kin. Sticking with what he knows, he then presents us with an experiential documentary. The Security Clearance Bungle uncovers this little publically known topic through first hand experience. Next is a travel documentary chock-full of information. American Foreigner provides an excellent reference about the details of experiencing life in South Korea. Then Stone takes his first dive into the realm of science fictional drama. Mars, Guitars, and Margaritas grips us with a heart warming story of an average guy tackling an unexpected opportunity. Reaching for meaningful existence, Jeffery Stone has been kind enough to share his creative mind with humanity. He has always aspired to achieve doing what he loves for a living. But perhaps leaving behind a legacy of heartfelt creative works is sufficient. Some are lucky enough to do what they love for a living, while others like Stone make time to live doing what they love.

This artist's entire catalog of published music albums is listed in this discography. Please note that other artists have published music under the name Jeff Stone as well. Consequently, the albums of others have been wrongly posted online together with this artist. Attempts have been made to separate the albums of this artist from the others without success. Unfortunately, the current state of technology and designed features of all websites do not allow for such a separation of artists with the same name.
So every Jeff Stone music album you find online will not be this artist. This publication should be referenced to differentiate between them. I had hoped to be able to out shine the others with a level of success that rises above anonymity, but this has not been the case. At least I can take comfort in knowing the fact that Jeff Stone seems to be a popular name chosen for a musical artist. But please try not to confuse me with the rest. I'm the other Jeff Stone.

A Legacy of Dreams
I discovered my songwriting talent as a teenager experimenting with musical instruments, and writing down my feelings, love crushes and dreams into words. The words quickly took the form of poetical phrases and paragraphs to go along with the cool musical sounds I began to create. It didn't take long for me to realize that this was my thing. I sought out knowledge about how to actually write music which later developed into a serious interest in learning musical structure. The craft of songwriting was born out of my keen interests. I would dedicate more than thirty years of my life to developing this craft and mastering so many of the other necessary skills that were needed to further a career in songwriting. Nothing was off limits to me: voice lessons, a songwriting club, dabbling in poetry writing, sight reading music, as well as mastering guitars, basses, and keyboards.
I never really had any interest in being famous. I just simply loved writing songs. I was also never really interested in becoming rich. My aspirations were not that huge, so I really didn't think they were unattainable. I just wanted to do what I love doing for a living. I just wanted to make enough money to pay the bills with my songwriting talents. That's all really. I dedicated pretty much most of my life to this, hoping that my dreams of being able to make a living writing songs would pan out for me. But alas, it never did. I had to settle for the more practical way of making a living. So I worked the typical forty hour a week grind just like everybody else in this world. And there was just never enough money to push my songs like I really needed to. So I never even made it to the level of getting radio airplay.
I have written, performed and recorded hundreds of songs that I published for the world to enjoy. The following documentation testifies to my love for this craft, and it showcases my fond memory of the dream. I leave behind not just a slew of wonderful tunes and lyrical wisdoms, but I leave behind something more important, the story of my life. The legacy I leave with you is not the substance of what is documented here. My legacy is the inner character that lies within each of us. I never attained a great level of success with my music. I realize that I am virtually unknown in this big world. But, I had a dream, and I actually did something about it. Not everyone pursues their heart's desire like I have done. And this is no small thing. I gave it my best shot and I have no regrets. I worked hard at it year after year and did my very best.
My point is that each one of us should pursue the dreams fondest to our hearts. Even though we may never reach a level that perhaps we expect, we can still accomplish so very much by simply endeavoring. Just place one foot in front of the other and go for it. I have presented my songs to the world to enjoy. And who knows, maybe one of my songs will be a comfort to someone going through a tough time, or perhaps another song will provide someone a cheery little ditty to dance with and celebrate. As I look back over my archive, I am glad that I did something to contribute to society and I feel that my life has counted for something. If my dreams have resulted in helping even just one person on this very huge planet, then it has been a dream worthy of following. So here is my challenge to you: Turn the imagined into a reality. Let your legacy be your dreams.

My Story
Everyone has a gift
In this life I believe that everyone has a gift of some sort. Some have a special talent that perhaps sets them apart as being someone genuinely unique. Others perhaps have what I believe most of us have. I think most of us have a talent for something that just kind of fits us like a really comfortable pair of shoes. For some it may be painting, or flower arranging. Others may find they a knack with mathematics. And still others may have a talent for fitting mechanical things together. Some people pursue their talent as a career, some never give it a serious thought, and some spend the time with their gift as just a cool hobby. And sadly some people may have never discovered what their talent is.
I was fortunate to discover that I have a talent for writing songs. I have spent a majority of my life chasing after this ability. I really enjoy the creativity of it all, and the satisfaction of enjoying the final product. Some trees produce apples, some yield oranges, and some make plums. I am a tree that is prolific at producing songs. I can spend hours on end playing with lyrics and creating melodies and never get tired of it.

Over the years I have created hundreds of songs. Additionally I have recorded countless hours of musical and lyrical ideas for songs. I was always usually backlogged on getting around to finishing so many of the new ideas that I just stored them in recordings, notepads, sticky notes or whatever I found handy to write on. Occasionally I would dip into my archived snippets and use them to create and finish whole new songs. I have amassed so much material that if I never had anymore new creative musical ideas, I still have enough stored to last a couple lifetimes worth of making albums. So what follows is the story of how all of that got started.
When I was a teenager I used some of the first money I earned to buy a cheap bass guitar and amplifier from the Sears Roebuck Company. I had ordered it from one of their really thick catalogs that we always had lying around the house. I still remember that the guitar came with kind of an instruction book, one of the ever popular Mel Bay books on how to play electric bass guitar. It was with this book that I began to take a keen interest in music. I’m not sure why I became so interested in music. It just kind of happened. A creativity inside me that I didn’t know I had was finding its way out, and I became very driven to learn more and more about it. My desire to make music was born, and this consumed me for the rest of my entire adult life.
I recall the first time I played my bass guitar in public. I couldn’t read music, and I hadn’t really developed much of an ear to pick out notes just by hearing them. I wasn’t very skilled at really doing anything much with my instrument. But one day it was suggested that I play at church, and of course I excitedly accepted.
The Pastor had just started his own church having come from the same church we normally attended, and my family attended his new church to support him. The only music for the services was provided by the Pastor’s wife who played piano music from a hymnal. So, I stood next to her at the piano and attempted to play along. I couldn’t read music, but I felt that it was best to stare at the hymnal on the piano as I played so that it would appear as if I was reading the music. I kept my volume down low so I would not disturb the ‘real’ music coming out of the piano so that everyone singing could follow along with out too much disruption. I don’t really know how well I did, but the Pastor’s wife commented that she could hear me hitting some of the notes. Hitting some of the notes
