In May of 2018, Brisbane, Australia-based singer/ songwriter Harriette Pilbeam, who goes by the nom de plume Hatchie, released Sugar & Spice, a debut EP that earned her comparisons to bands like Cocteau Twins and The Sundays with its dreamy shoegaze sound and distinct popsmart melodies. Cocteau Twins’ Robin Guthrie even did a remix of the EP track “Sure.”
