WHY did this feel like the right time to do a solo record?

You know, I just turned 30, and I was having a kind of moment with myself where I was saying, ‘What do I want with my career? Why do I do this?’ I create because I have to, because that’s what I like to do. Like so many musicians and artists say, it’s a true feeling, you just have to do it.
