About this ebook
A Dangerous Truth (The MacCavelli Curse Series - Book 1)
Marcus MacCavelli is the eldest son of the MacCavelli family at thirty two, with a wife who surely doesn't love him and a son who he loves and is the only reason he's in the marriage.
After years of forcing himself to believe that 'The MacCavelli Curse' doesn't exist, he finds himself believing in it when he finds his wife in bed with another man and discovers his son isn't really his. His world crashes down on him and he breaks under the pressure, driving recklessly until he gets into an accident.
When he wakes up, he vaguely remembers his car tumbling into a lake but he doesn't expect to wake up in a place he's never been before. He's badly injured and doesn't understand how he wakes up on a shore.
A woman with beautiful raven hair and dressed as if from a forgotten place assists him and while trying to figure out what exactly brought him to an unknown time, he begins to fall in love, even when his brain tells him not to.
Will he let his heart lead again or let the curse take over his life?

CHAPTER ONE
The MacCavelli family was one of the most affluent families in the world. They were involved in every type of business and were blessed with both old and new money. The entire world knew who a MacCavelli was and they surely knew of the MacCavelli Curse.
Marcus MacCavelli sat in his study, a mini-office, with his laptop sitting on the leather desk. He ran his fingers through his shoulder length blond hair as he stared at the caption of the news story which brightly appeared on the screen of his laptop.
He wasn’t sure of how he felt.
The media had been on their asses for well over fifteen years from what he could remember but his mother, Maria MacCavelli, had reassured them that the same thing had happened to their father and his brothers. Maria MacCavelli had told her five children that the curse didn’t exist but Marcus was almost too sure it did.
Marcus got his first heartbreak when he was ten but his mother had called it puppy love. Five years later, his heart was broken again. It happened again two years after that and many more years after that; the heartbreaks didn’t stop until he decided he’d had enough.

Marcus stared at the laptop screen and wished the news would disappear.
Marcus MacCavelli,
he answered stoically until he heard the familiar voice.
I know your name, Marcus,
Zion mused playfully and Marcus smiled, silently wondering if he was okay.
I saw the news, you okay?
Marcus cleared his throat and exited the tab, unable to look at the caption without questioning himself.
I’m good. I’m getting used to it. It just... it hurts sometimes,
Zion answered with a sigh and Marcus knew there was nothing he could do to help. He was sure that if he was unmarried, he would be going through the same thing as his brother.
You’ll find the perfect woman for you, bro. I know this is just some te-
Marcus was cut off by Zion’s sarcastic scoff.
You know that’s not going to fucking happen Marc!
Zion snapped and Marcus chuckled, hoping he could convince his brother that the curse
