She gazed out the window on the way downtown. The scenery is passing without her noticing. Eventually arriving at the county jail, looking around in wonder she sees the other officers looking at her intently. It is as if they had never seen a woman bloody from head to toe she thought. It was not until the mug shot that Monica realized she had a sinister smile on her face.

My name is Candice; I'm 35 years young and a mother of 3 beautiful teens who inspire me. Over 15 years ago, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and anxiety; recently I've been diagnosed with PTSD and agoraphobia. I've spent two times in a mental facility because of these disorders. I started writing as a coping mechanism, and it has become a passion over the years. My writing and mental health is my focus. My goal is to get my poems out, help others cope with mental illnesses, and start a podcast to further educate the world on these issues by providing an in-depth look in my life as someone who battles mental issues.
