    Dedication and Thanks

To you. No more needs to be said.

To Annalynn. You’re a spy... figure out why I’m dedicating this book to you.

To my friend and mentor, Don. You’re awesome.

To Jesus Christ, for I am first and foremost a man of faith who believes and holds to the Christian good news.

Now, ya gotta understand somethin’ here... this book is a work of fiction. That means it’s made up. Characters/places/etc. do not represent anything else. It’s a fun book.

Everything is fiction in this book.

Now... as I say that, I realize, Poutine really exists, and it’s fantastic! So, the story stuff is fiction, but the Poutine is not.

    Preface

WITH EVERY ONE OF THESE books, I struggle more and more with the preface. What can I say? What can I write? Why did I ask those two questions about what I could say or write? In this context, aren’t those two things the same things?

Yes. I’m just trying to fill space.

    Thanks for reading.

    Annalynn Meets the Mechanic

ANNALYNN TRIED, ONCE again, to start her jet. It just would not turn on. She knew nothing about the jet, other than how to turn it on and how to tell it where to fly. She certainly did not know how to fix it. She did not even really know how to call anyone to tell them the jet was broken.

    Annalynn was a ten-year-old spy.

There were not too many ten-year-old spies around. She had heard of a few, but at the moment, she was one of the main ones CSIS turned to when they needed help.

CSIS, which stood for Canadian Security Intelligence Service, was Canada’s spy agency. They were, just like everything else Canadian, the best in the world. No one dared mess with Canadian spies, and Annalynn herself had proven to be a pretty good spy. They had given her a jet to use for her missions and an ID badge that read, Agent Frank.

On that particular day, she did not have anywhere to go. She had just been bored and wanted to turn the jet on and play with
