Words to Inspire - Paul Blake
Chapter One
Don’t allow your future to be charted by past failures.
The curse of failure will follow many people to their graves. They fail to go after their dreams because they are always plagued by one or multiple failures. If you should look at the people in the past, who failed, but did not allow their failures to determine their future success you would find that you are not alone. Albert Einstein was told that he was a dunce because he had a learning disability; Thomas Edison failed at his light bulb invention over a hundred times before he got it right; Marcus Garvey failed in many of his business ventures but refused to give up. Failure is a part of life, it is what paves the way to success.
As you journey through life you will not fail only once, but many times before you taste sweet success. Don’t allow the failure you experience to be that which charts your future. Each time you encounter failure in your life, it is one more opportunity to learn some great lesson. It is one more opportunity to learn what you need to do to be successful the next time you try.
Successful people don’t walk around carrying a sign of failure with them. They evaluate why they failed and do all in their power to avoid the pitfalls of failure the next time around. If you allow failure to follow you around, you will never be able to reach the goal of successful living. Today is the day you must decide to throw off the chains of failure and say to yourself I AM BUILT FOR SUCCESS!
Chapter Two
The greatest tragedy in life is to have lived without a purpose
Floating through life is not the ideal option for the majority of persons. Most of the time there is an innate desire to reach for something more. The truth is, we often don’t discover our real purpose and so lose out on experiencing joy and happiness in our lives. Don’t settle for going through life always asking what my purpose is? Instead, make a deliberate effort to find your place in this world and leave behind a meaningful contribution.
Find your purpose, step out in faith and challenge yourself to be much more than you are now. Never be contented to sit idly and watch others change the world. People who have changed the course of history did not do so because they were born great. They accomplished the impossible because they were courageous and would not take no for an answer. They realised that they were here for a reason and they committed themselves to find what that reason was. Marcus Garvey will never know the legacy that he has left behind, this was because he refused to allow others to dictate his place in this vast universe.
It is not what you get out of life that you will be remembered for, it is what you contributed to living. Live for someone or something besides yourself. Your purpose is that one thing that continually fills your soul, that thing you just can’t seem to let go until it has been done. It is that dream that will make an impact in the life of someone somewhere in the world, and if you don’t do it, the world would have lost out on an excellent opportunity to witness something
