W.O.D. Wealth Obsession Disorder - Joe Manchello
PART ONE
Introduction:
THIS BOOK IS intended to be an informational account from an individuals perspective of a unique psychological disorder seemingly effecting the lower, middle an upper middle classes of society. This book takes you through the experiences of a man called Mr. Q in regards to his suffering from Wealth Obsession Disorder. It also expresses the opinions of the author of the book. The purpose of this book is to label and identify a disorder that many people may be suffering from. Hopefully the readers of this book will have a better understanding of this disorder and gain a feeling of relief in realizing that other people out there are experiencing the same types of feelings and emotions as they are.
PART TWO
What Is W.O.D.:
SIMPLY PUT, WEALTH Obsession Disorder is an overwhelming desire to become extremely wealthy. Now you are probably saying to yourself that everyone who is not already wealthy suffers from this. While it is true that just about everyone wants to be rich the key word here is—(overwhelming), the extremes one will go through physically and emotionally in their quest to achieve great wealth. Sure a lot of people play Lotto and talk the talk but not everyone walks the walk. There are people who dream to achieve and there are people who achieve the dream. In a sense W.O.D. does not exist but yet it does exist. Wealth Obsession Disorder as described in this book is truly a state of mind. A way in which the circumstances of one’s life effects that person psychologically to the point where it becomes an actual disorder.
PART THREE
The Usual Scenario:
MOST OF THE time scenario’s regarding wealth will look primarily at the already wealthy members of society. The extremely rich looking to become obscenely rich. Sometimes focusing on royalty or people who’s wealth came from old money, that is to say handed down from generation to generation or who I refer to as the silver spoon up the ass society. The people who have never known what it means to actually work for a living.
We also look at business and real estate entrepreneurs, computer and dot com kings, stock market maniacs, tech. geeks, and media moguls. Lets not forget the lives of TV, film, music and sports personality premadonnas and of course the pet rock-I cant believe I actually made money from this stupid idea people. So if you are one of these blessed S.O.B.’s you might as well put this book down right now unless you are in need of a good laugh.
They say the first million is the hardest to achieve. This is especially true when your starting from zero or in some cases less than zero thanks to human natures debt creating abilities. I personally don’t care to hear about the success stories of millionaires who started out with nine hundred thousand dollars left to them by their rich parents. It’s true what they say it takes money to make money. So if you have a lot of money you should be able to make a lot of money. When you start out with no money and a few years down the road you’re a multimillionaire now that’s an accomplishment with a truly interesting story behind it for sure. Some of the most influential accomplished millionaires and even billionaires started out with nothing. The stories behind their success are always the most interesting and unbelievable. You have to wonder what is it about these people and what inner qualities do they possess that enabled them to accomplish such greatness. Were they born with these abilities is it a gene in their genetic makeup, did it come from their upbringing or did they acquire these abilities themselves over the course of their lives. Most importantly is it possible for us to acquire these abilities so that we can hopefully achieve as much if not more than they have.
As for those silver spooner’s of society, they will never know what it means to struggle in life. They will never know the meaning of the word want and how it feels to sacrifice so much and work so hard to get something you want so bad in life and the feeling that comes with finally getting it. They pride themselves on being superior to everyone else this elite upper crest of society looking down their brand new plastic surgery noses at us all. Yet they will never have and can never have the character, integrity and pride of a self made person. It is the pain, suffering and hardships we endure that
