    Club Extase Part 3 - E.J. Adams

    Chapter 1

    Rachel Cooper

    Rachel, let me know what's next. . . .

Justin's words from earlier in the morning kept ringing in my ears. It was all I could think about as I rode the subway home. It was on my mind as I rode the elevator in my building. I barely remember opening the door to my apartment.

How was your run? Looks like a gorgeous fall day out there.

    I snapped back into focus.

Megan was smiling at me from the kitchen table. She had her laptop open and papers spread across the table. I forgot that she was getting some work done on one of her accounts.

Fine. Yes, very nice out. I don't want to disturb you. I'm going to take a shower, I answered.

Hold it right there, Megan said firmly. Something's wrong. What happened? Are you okay?

I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about it.

You didn't get mugged or attacked, did you?

    No. Not really.

What do you mean 'not really'? Rachel, you're scaring me. What happened?

I wasn't mugged or attacked. I did have an encounter though. I'm trying to figure out how I feel about it.

Rache, just what the hell is that suppose to mean? Who, or what, did you have an encounter with?

Obviously Megan had blown right past the 'I'm not ready to talk about it' part. But she was genuinely concerned. As I would be for her. I decided that now was as good a time as any to tell her what had happened.

Okay, I'll tell you. But I need to sit down.

Megan and I sat on the couch. She had a look of real concern on her face. I patted her leg.

It's not all that bad, Megs. I'm just a bit dazed and confused.

I wasn't sure how or where to start. Should I start with meeting Justin in Central Park or that he fingered me behind the bushes? How should I handle the fact that I let him give me finger sex because I wanted it? I took a deep breath.

I saw Justin while I was running in the park. I decided to start at the beginning and work toward the rest.

Did he see you? I mean, I'm assuming he was your encounter.

Yes. He actually saw me first. I was running ahead of him.

Was he stalking you? Should we call the police?

No. I don't think he was stalking me. He claims that he runs that exact path at that exact time practically every day. I suppose that could be true.

    I suppose. But, still . . .

I know. Look, I'm not worried about that so much. I take him at his word. There are times when I have randomly bumped into someone I know. It does happen, even in a city as large as New York.

I guess. Megan didn't sound too convinced.

He told me that he doesn't need to stalk women. And why would he? We both know he exudes sex appeal. Do you honestly think he has trouble picking up women? So let's move on from the whole 'Justin was stalking Rachel' line of thinking. Okay?

Okay. As long as you believe him.

    I do.

    Alright. What happened next?

He told me that he had come on strong last night. That he knew he could be an ass.

    Both true, Megan said.

He also told me how much he wanted me. That he needed me.

Okay. So he's still angling to get you in bed.

More than that. He told me that he is captivated by me. That I am different from other women. Even the small number of women who reject him.

Oh my gosh! Rache, did you seriously fall for that bullshit?!

Megs, you weren't there. I am fully aware that he wants to have sex with me. But there was something in the way he said everything. His body language. I don't know . . .

I do know. You've lost your frickin' mind. Rachel, Justin Renaud is a player. He is playing you. Okay, yeah, he is captivated by you. That just means that he really wants to fuck you. Don't read anything more into it than that.

Normally I would agree with Megan. She is far more adept at male behavior, especially when it comes to sex, than I am. But I wasn't ready to just accept that Justin only wanted sex from me. I felt there was something more going on. Even if Justin didn't want to admit it, or even realized it yet.

I think there is more to it than that, I said.

"Rachel, this is what happens when you go too long without sex. You start to read into situations things
