About this ebook
Mary Magdalene was a resilient servant of Christ and a witness of His greatness. How was she able to overcome her demons to become the first witness of Christ's resurrection?
These 5 lessons walk you through the Biblical truths about Mary Magdalene's life. She was transformed from a woman possessed by seven demons, into a resilient servant who sat at the foot of the cross on crucifixion day. Following her transformation, she developed an unquenchable love for Jesus. Mary Magdalene was a wealthy child of God who possessed a servant's heart. Her ministry began as she passionately served her Savior. She assisted behind the scenes of Jesus ministry with a grateful heart, because she found freedom from her sins and her demons. Her excitement and gratitude overflowed as she exclaimed, "He is risen!" to the disciples on resurrection morning.
You will learn Biblical truths based on the life of this mysterious lady. Mary Magdalene will inspire you to: Give from the heart. Serve graciously. Embrace your freedom. Live with gratitude. Witness for Jesus.
Mary Rodman is a Christian speaker and author. Her #1 bestselling devotional books, Bloom Where You're Planted and Live Life in Full Bloom, enlighten and brighten your relationship with Christ. Her books will transform your ordinary path from the mundane and mayhem into extraordinary living with Jesus. Mary's homespun style of writing is packed with real life examples. Her devotionals and lessons are easy to read, yet thought provoking. While researching for her upcoming devotional book, Bloom in God's Promises, Mary became intrigued with the mysterious life of Mary Magdalene. As a result, she wrote this study to share her thoughts with her readers.
Mary says in the introduction to the study: "I often wonder what it would be like to speak directly with some of the great saints of the Bible. I would love to ask Peter how it felt to walk on water. For Paul I wonder, what was the thorn in his flesh? Was it a physical ailment, mental struggle, or a spiritual battle? But of all the New Testament servants of Christ, Mary Magdalene is one who seems the most mysterious to me. Not mysterious as in secretive. Mysterious as in where did she find the strength to do all that she accomplished for Jesus."

A few words about Mary as a speaker: "When we were looking for someone to talk at our fall women's retreat, someone mentioned Mary Rodman. Mary ran with the theme and gave us not only talks but small group questions and devotions for each session. The attendees found the talks relevant to our lives and the small group questions meaningful and thought provoking. Would definitely use Mary for a retreat again and would highly recommend her to speak at your retreat." ~Shirl Hensel Co-Chair, Women at the Well, Trinity Lutheran Church, Marysville, OH

Once the seed of hope is planted in your heart, Mary motivates you to stay in God's Word to seek wisdom, and learn more about Jesus' amazing grace. “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking." (James 1:5). Mary’s prayer is that you have a personal relationship with our Redeemer, because when you Bloom with Jesus, you become a child of God who is cultivated for your beauty. This beauty does not happen overnight, it is a gradual change within your soul, because of your relationship with Jesus. For more information of God's grace, go to www.MaryRodman.com/gods-promises/.

Lesson 1: A Wealthy Woman
Ioften wonder what it would be like to speak directly with some of the great saints of the Bible. I want to ask Peter how it felt to walk on water. For Paul I wonder, what was the thorn in his flesh? Was it a physical ailment, mental struggle, or a spiritual battle? But of all the New Testament servants of Christ, Mary Magdalene is one who seems the most mysterious to me.
Not mysterious as in secretive. Mysterious because I want to know—where did she find the strength to do all she accomplished for Jesus? We are first introduced to Mary in the Luke 8.
Read Luke 8:1-3
We have no other background about Mary Magdalene, except that Jesus performed a great miracle in her life. What else is there to say? Christ dramatically changed her life when He cast the demons from her. Once Mary discovered her Savior, she was totally committed to Him with a servant’s heart. She became one of Jesus’ followers and part of His road crew, so to speak. She worked behind the scenes and
