Mary DID YOU KNOW?

Mary was just an ordinary teenager, doing what teenagers did 2000 years ago. You may wonder what they did with all the time on their hands. There were no cellphones, TV, movies, cars, bikes, microwaves, fast food outlets, supermarkets, schools, universities. Just a very simple lifestyle, perhaps helping around the house and feeding the animals. Had Mary lived her life like so many other girls her age, she would have married a poor man, given birth to numerous poor children, never travelled more than a few kilometres from her home, and died like thousands of others before her. You see, Mary was a nobody living in Nazareth, a nothing town in the middle of nowhere.

God chose Mary

God went to a little town called Nazareth, a town with a bad reputation, – John 1:46. God sent His angel to a humble cottage and tapped a girl on the shoulders – who was probably barely a teenager – and choose her to be the mother of Jesus. But here is the amazing thing: Never in her wildest dreams did she ever – Isaiah 7:14
