I live in the English countryside with a loving spouse, two equally wonderful children and assorted pets who have their affectionate moments – usually when they’re hungry.I like to write adult-themed stories featuring realistic women coping with realistic situations: no vampires, zombies, aliens or eye-watering sexual gymnastics. Any sexual content is appropriate, realistic and fully consensual.Writing is an occasional pastime; my goal isn’t fabulous riches, but simply to entertain.

Dorothy jerked awake as the bed bounced, almost tipping her off the edge. Thick-headed, she hoisted herself onto one elbow and looked around. In the faint light reflected from the overcast sky outside the window, she saw her husband pulling on his dressing gown.

What is it? she croaked. Where are you going?

Checking on Dad, he mumbled back.

More awake, she glanced at the clock. Two a.m. – right on schedule. Except… He’s not here, she said gently. He went to the nursing home yesterday. Remember?

Michael stood still for a moment, then slowly took off his dressing gown and got back into bed, facing away from her. Dorothy lay down again and stared at the ceiling. Before long, she felt his body shaking so she turned over and held him while he sobbed. Eventually they fell asleep again.

Shit! She leapt out of bed and scrabbled for her slippers.

    Wha’s’ma’r? mumbled Michael, barely conscious.

The alarm was off! If I don’t get a move on, Ellen’s going to be late for school! said Dorothy, working her arms into her dressing gown.
