I live in the English countryside with a loving spouse, two equally wonderful children and assorted pets who have their affectionate moments – usually when they’re hungry.I like to write adult-themed stories featuring realistic women coping with realistic situations: no vampires, zombies, aliens or eye-watering sexual gymnastics. Any sexual content is appropriate, realistic and fully consensual.Writing is an occasional pastime; my goal isn’t fabulous riches, but simply to entertain.

A breath of chill November air brought Hayley out of her doze. The sun had moved around and the shadow of a tree was covering her side of the bench. Shivering, she slid back into the sunshine.

Gazing across the lake, she knew there was only about an hour left before she’d have to find somewhere warmer to wait until the shelter opened for the night. The leaden feeling in the pit of her stomach reminded her that the shelter closed for good on Sunday – after that, she’d have to find somewhere else to endure the darkness.

Rifling through her pockets produced three pounds. Once she lost the free meals at the shelter, that would be her only way to get food. With care it would last another few weeks. After that…

Another shadow moved across her. A man strolled past, watching the ducks on the water. They drifted towards him hoping for a free meal of their own.

Hayley watched the pedestrian as well – he was more interesting than the wildfowl. When he pulled out a pack of shop-bought sandwiches from his carrier bag, her stomach cramped and her mouth watered; last night’s meal had been a long time ago and the next was still hours away.

Several pairs of eyes – one pair human, the rest avian – hungrily watched him open the pack and take a bite out of the contents. He wrinkled his nose in distaste and swung his arm back, obviously about to throw the remainder
