About this ebook
After research in the lab, the Council decides to cultivate the Frupon. Of course the Chosen One can’t wait for it to grow. In “Wolf in New France” he meets the southern neighbours who revitalize old traditions. Though they’re blessed with a good climate for farming, one twist can turn the tide here too! With Public Enemy No. 1 en route, it remains unclear if they can avert a second War of Nature.

MISSION #4
Wolf in New France
Soon after Wolf’s arrival that Frupon juice was distributed among the people. After all, it had only a limited shelf life. The ripening Frupons immediately moved to the lab for research.
Ms. Blackbird took her old microscope out of the closet and its case and placed it on the wooden table in the dark laboratory. Excited, she studied an intact, new jungle fruit under an equally rare lamp.
She looked at it, with a smile on her face. Anatomically, it actually resembles the old varieties.
Wolf nodded hesitantly. The only thing he had ever seen of the old sorts of fruit, were the coloured cubes in a tin.
Dr. Winter took a nip of the fresh juice. Mmmm –nice and sweet!
He closed his eyelids and tilted his head backwards. It tastes slightly like melon or is it watermelon?
He took a second, a bigger sip. With a refreshingly sour touch of orange!
The old doctor had the clear sweet-and-sour juice going around in his mouth. I do taste something else as well, something unusual; but then again; what could it possibly be?
His wrinkled hand turned the bottle in a circular motion.
Please let me give it a try.
Ms. Blackbird pulled the jug out of his palm and placed her lips against the edge. She now cautiously sipped on it. You’re right!
She bit her lip. I also taste it..., but what exactly; I cannot come up with it. You see, it has been a long time since I drunk something like that, lad.
With impatience, the biologist leafed through the plant book. Suddenly she halted. She carefully compared a fruit on a page of the open book with a thin slice of Frupon under her microscope. After that, she turned her eyes to Wolf. Do you see those black seeds?
I do, but what on earth does it mean?
It seems that your Frupon is related to the old-time papaya fruit!
Blackbird pointed to the picture in her book. One by one, she dragged them in front of the viewer of the microscope.
Wolf looked up. His smiling created cheek dimples, for these mini-tiny seeds now looked monstrously large! Yet, besides that, there was indeed a resemblance.
Winter grabbed the halved fluorescent orange test object. The nails of his fingers almost pierced the
