    Introduction

Welcome to the Dare to Disciple Study Guide! This small group guide was developed to help you in the journey of helping other individuals grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.

Many people view the Great Commission as the great suggestion, but it is the final command Jesus gave to all believers before ascending to heaven. In this guide, you’ll use the teaching process described by Robby Gallaty, pastor of Brainerd Baptist Church, and Dr. John Ankerberg, host of the John Ankerberg Show, as shared in the DVD series "Dare to Disciple." If you wish to obtain a copy of this material to supplement this study, you can do so by ordering at www.johnankerberg.org or calling 1-800-805-3030. However, this study does not require additional materials to use. Simply jump in and begin!

We look forward to how Dare to Disciple helps you both better understand your own Christian faith and how it will help you pass it along to others. Through it, we hope to see you do as Paul taught Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, to pass along what you have heard to others who will then teach others—four generations of making disciples!

This study guide was created to use with our videos available as M4Vs or DVDs at https://www.jashow.org/resources/dare-to-disciple-practical-steps-to-mentoring-believers.html. We have also included the links to our online transcripts for each of the programs in this study guide.

    For Your Group

This specific study guide is uniquely designed to help provide an opportunity to hear on a unique issue influencing our world. We encourage group discussion, with groups of no more that twelve in size, or to divide larger classes into smaller groups for a portion of each study to discuss questions. Group leaders (or table leaders in larger groups) are responsible to direct each meeting, prepare for each session’s study time, build relationships with group members, and seek to involve each person in a meaningful manner. Through this personalized combination of quality teaching and interactive discussion, we have designed each session to provide an educational and life-changing experience for each person involved.

    How to Use This Guide

    Interact

At the start of each session is a brief summary of the session along with a couple of opening questions related to the topic. Each group will want to discuss this material together before watching the DVD. This Getting Started section is written to prompt discussion; surfacing
