The sound of chanting rose and fell like waves washing against a rocky shore, loud and close one moment, a barely heard whisper in the dark the next. Sara held her breath and strained to hear words confused by the echoing tunnel, blood knocked in her ears, a flaming torch spluttered at her side, its dim light flaring white for a moment before returning to smoky orange.

Oh Vicky! she whispered as her courage teetered on the very edge of desertion, what had possessed her sister to come to this place, this deep, dark and sinister place?

Brainwashed she reminded herself, no-one else believed her, but Sara knew. So what if Vicky had always been the adventurous twin! Not adventurous... reckless! And that is what had drawn the twins into the dark and mysterious tunnels, one had trapped the other. Vicky had drawn her sister in as surely as a moth will singe its wings on a candle... some things just happen, and there is nothing more predictable then the actions of a twin.

HIS NAME WAS GURU ASHTARA. Aka Tony Ashton, not that a single one of his devoted followers would ever get their hands on that information, and the Guru performed miracles!
