I wish to acknowledge the great contribution of Mr Mathokoza Shongwe, a special person who helped lead me on the journey to spiritual acceptance, growth and homecoming, when I gave my life to God on my 33rd birthday weekend in 2003. Mathokoza Babe Shongwe, the usher who knew me by name, wasted no time in finding his way through the congregation to witness my confession of the sinner’s prayer.

I thank God for this privilege and many like-minded people who have encouraged and guided me along my spiritual journey.

He is the comforter and teacher of all things and I believe all must be possessed, without just being filled by Him. Introduction

I was in the most beautiful place imaginable without having moved at all. My life as a child of God had transformed and promoted every part of me. Most importantly I realised who I was as a living being. I was soaring in the abundance of life and peace and actually living the fruits of the Holy Spirit. I was there, in the daily blessing of a new and pure existence. It was something that I had sought by coming to God and received with such enthusiasm that I could not explain, but enjoy and demonstrate His love to those around me. There was no offence, no judgement, just freedom. My life was magnified and made so precious that I literally felt like a child again. I wanted to befriend anyone and everyone I met.

It was a time when the spirit and freedom from condemnation was explained to me, and I actually experienced it. This truth enabled me to recover from a troubled personal relationship by fighting to regain my inner peace. When cornered, I was able to focus on the truth and it set me free. Through that experience I learnt a worthwhile lesson – to put my trust in God alone.

Early in 2004, as a student of the Word and a new creation, I bought a new notebook in which to record my original thoughts and revelations. I soon realised that what had passed my conscious mind had been a special blessing to me. It needed to be written down, for when it might not be of use to me at the time, but if I did not record it, no one else could benefit from my experiences.

Before long I began to make notes automatically on envelopes or scraps of paper. I also used the evening section of my diary pages which I would not need for appointments. This also enabled me to find my notes when required. These short, profound statements became very meaningful as I continued my journey. I began to write regularly and the more I wrote, the more I was exposed to inspiring passages and phrases. My writing episodes started forming a script, a book of sorts. I dubbed it a book of revelations as I became intrigued with recording my thoughts and aspirations. The writings slowly developed into a book of spiritual outflow, so much so that I disliked not having it handy in case something of importance was revealed to me. I also came to learn that this is known as automatic writing, when you write from prompting, not aware of what is being written. It happens through a form of mental trance.

I recorded my personal spiritual questions and answered them as if to set the record straight in terms of what was happening. Other answers or revelations that may have seemed insignificant to others, often had deep meaning in my spirit.

Question: In my spirit I sense people wondering, Why do you seek this life – church-going, and the misery that comes with it while you could be having a good time relaxing and enjoying your success and resources?

Answer: It is simply that all the things of this world can’t quieten my spirit or give it peace and silence. My spirit is powerful! It needs to be lovingly fed and quietened, not fuelled and provoked. I have come to learn that the Word of God in faith, nurses my spirit and gives it true peace and quiet, better than anything I could ever imagine.

Earlier in the year, one eventful night in April 2004, I was allowed to experience the most bizarre yet most wonderful spiritual episode in my life.

It all began with a visit from a man of God who was doing a follow-up to an invitation I had honoured to his church through one of their church members. This man came to meet me at the office after work so as not to interrupt me. Whilst waiting in the conference room after taking a quick look around, Mr Green had a revelation for me. When I finally joined him he asked, Do you know why you are prospering? Before I could answer him or fully understand the reason for his question, he replied, It is because you have been listening to God.

At the time it was almost a full year since I had given my life to God. That short discussion with Mr Green would plant the seed of a focused desire, a prayer point. I had not spiritually grown to experience and exercise a prayer point before although I understood the concept clearly. There I was with a strong desire in my spirit to know something specific through a question I had been asked. I could see the results but did not realise they were a direct result of my obedience. I had come to know and believe that the first and foremost way of not being favoured by God, was disobedience.

This man of God confirmed that I had been doing what I had a desire to do and had been given material evidence in the process. I went on to ask, How? What have I been listening to? I was greatly touched and even concerned by this declaration made to me and for me. When the answer came I was left in no doubt as to its meaning. I was overwhelmed by a deep, mind-blowing, glorious feeling of pure, undiluted love which filled my mind and body!

The Visitation Message

I shall be present in your consciousness

I am the spirit that keeps your body and moves in the earth

All that you see, I see

All that you touch, I touch

All that you think, I am

That is how I am everywhere in everything

I am creation
