Kevin L. Kemp, the younger of two sons, was born and reared in Richmond, Virginia by his parents William and Mary. At a young age, they instilled in him the importance of love, education, moral values, hard work, spirituality, and life/ relationship skills. Growing up, Kevin had many interests and was always determined to put his best foot forward. He participates in church and community activities. Author and Inspirational Speaker Kevin, graduated from Virginia Union University receiving a degree in Business Management and Marketing. Kevin currently manages several companies ranging from real estate to home improvements. He is also heavily involved in community outreach, helping at risk youth, troubled adults, and more importantly than anything, teaching life skills. His goal is to make a difference in the mindsets of individuals and therefore affect communities and the world on a whole in a positive manner.

If you haven’t heard the true purpose of human life then BrainTight is a book that gives clarity to many of life’s questions. By understanding and ingraining the BrainTight concept into your life you’ll be able to receive endless blessings and reach your highest potential in life that so many fail to achieve because they allow worldly distractions to cloud their true purpose. The writing of the book, BrainTight affords an opportunity for the author to share his experiences, beliefs, his relationship with God, his Heavenly Father, and how each understanding has been instrumental in the development of the author’s own realization. It is hoped that the content of this book allows the reader to better understand his purpose through the BrainTight concept and the ability to remain purpose-driven throughout his life.

BrainTight is a message from God that He wants the author to share with everyone. Ideally, in reading the book, BrainTight, a person is able to evaluate his attitude and realize the power and benefits of being BrainTight in every walk of life. The rewards of living a spirit-filled lifestyle as oppose to engaging in a worldly or carnal one. You’re about to read the book, BrainTight! BrainTight! is the most influential word and concept ever created. The BrainTight concept can transform the world as we know it one individual at a time. There’s not a singular word that can be used that has more meaning, impact and purpose than BrainTight. The intent of this book is to get you to focus on what’s important and guide one to their purpose in life. It will also help in understanding the importance of being positive, productive and joy-minded. Individuals who want to understand the importance of developing a strong spiritual presence will also benefit from reading this book. The goal of this book is to offer options about how one can live a Godly life on earth personally and corporately by being BrainTight. It is necessary to change individually first before anything can get better in our personal lives and in society. I believe that my BrainTight concept is the vehicle that can be used to make this individual change.

A lot of people write self-help books in which the objective is to empower you, the individual. They give you a lot of information but don’t give you the foundation needed to understand from where your purpose, success and failures actually come. In reality, that empowerment comes from having a relationship with God and knowing that everything you achieve comes from Him. It comes from the Holy Spirit within that compels you to focus and want His promises for yourself with a burning desire. It took me a while to really get that understanding and this book tells you why. Those are the principles I was raised under but I can honestly say I didn’t always have a strong faith mainly because of my focus or focuses. As I wrote this book I would break down in realizing how blessed

I am in knowing what the Lord has brought me through. It is the Holy Spirit who has saved me and he will save you as well if you only listen to His voice that’s inside each of us. My experiences, environment and Holy Spirit have molded me into the individual I’ve become. I personally feel He brought me through all the adversity I endured for the critical reason of understanding His love, power and the creation of BrainTight.

I’ve made some bad decisions in my life as we all have which is the reason everyone will be able to relate to BrainTight in one way or another. I needed to know and understand myself so I could create my own experiences by putting myself in an environment that I would be positive, productive and joyous within. I did that by surrounding myself with like-minded individuals that put as much if not more emphasis on being BrainTight as I did. I have grown to know that my life would be haphazard without the Lord as the center of it all. The only way I was able to come to this realization was by giving myself away to the Lord and not caving in to the world because it’s all here to distract you from getting on the same frequency as your Holy Spirit within.

Over the years I’ve learned I must always be aware of my environment, as well as the people and things in it. The experiences of my life determined my testimonies and conviction of my words. Through testimonies is the most effective way to teach my BrainTight concept. When you can put yourself around individuals that have been through challenges and are open to learning from others you can be convicted by the Holy Spirit in those stories. It’s so affective because you hear over and over the blessings that someone has received from their Holy Spirit and the importance of listening to their conscience. We all have these testimonies of making it through a situation because of the grace of God. It’s my hope that we all come together and share our stories with others and the youth of today. It’s through these testimonies that others may see that the worldly distractions that people spend time and energy on are a waste because they can tell you about the road you’re thinking about traveling.

Once I made up in my mind to give up worldly and carnal things for God I have His love, guidance, peace, and a great story to tell because my inner spirit bleeds out through my actions. I endured so many things that I didn’t need to if I had just listened to the Holy Spirit inside me and seek His word. It was like some of the cartoons I watched when I was growing up when an angel character would appear on one shoulder and a Satan character on the other. They would try and convince the character to do good or evil in a situation. Things tend to work out positive when he listened to the angel and had a negative outcome when he listened to the Satan character. This is what happens in life when we listen to our conscience.

I remember feeling like I had a bad conscience and didn’t feel comfortable doing anything that was unethical because of my conscience. I would get this bad conscience anytime I got around a negative person, situation or environment. I could since something wasn’t right and would have a negative outcome if I pursued my negative feelings. Many times I would go against my conscience and felt like I got away with something because I didn’t get caught but I knew within my heart I was wrong. I’m thinking that no one saw me when God did. I no longer think that’s my conscience that’s talking to me. It was the Holy Spirit that’s strong within me trying to guide my decisions. I just needed to slow down, cut out the distractions around me so I could hear and pay attention to Him. It has been with me my entire life because I knew when I was doing wrong. I just didn’t want to listen. I ended up making mistakes and bad decisions every time I went against my Holy Spirit. I was too smart for my own good. Thinking I knew everything and wanting to live a worldly life. Can you hear God talking to you through what is called your conscience? 1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Purpose

My previous experiences have convicted me because I know from where I’ve come and I can say, Look at me now! It was imperative that I understood myself and know how I could personally become one with God. I had to think and determine who I was and whose I was. The sooner I came to that realization the better. Often times, I didn’t do anything to realize who I could be because I had a lack of self value and purpose for my life. I didn’t have purpose because I never could comprehend how much God loves me and loves us all. When I realized my purpose and understand what I had to lose in his love, spirit and eternal life; I didn’t have the desire anymore to partake in activities that weren’t of God. I had grown to fear Him so why risk losing the gift of eternal life which God has promised us all if we follow His word.
