I will never forget that early Sunday morning
My spirits were low and my heart was yearning
I was on way to that little storefront church
My life had been changing as I began to search
Then I saw my Gate called Beautiful
There was a man they called pitiful
He reached out his hand and together we held on tight
His hand was still cold from the dark of night
Chorus
He said I don't need your money son or any worldly thing
All I want to do is to shout and sing
And tell all the world what has happened to me
As I praise His name for all eternity
Here at my Gate called Beautiful
He said I have been to my Gate called Beautiful
What I received was so wonderful
He is all that I will ever need
Never again will I beg or plead
Bridge
There is more than one Gate called Beautiful
Where Goodness and Mercy are bountiful
Where the lost are found and captives are freed
Saved by Grace not by works or deeds
Never no never should we ever give up
There is living water in the Savior's cup
Drink all you want it is better than wine
It is yours and theirs and it is also mine
Chorus
No we don't need any money or any worldly thing
We just need to praise Him as we shout and sing
And tell the world who has set us free
