A Gay Romance and Erotika Story

    Written by Lucas Loveless

    Chapter One

Henry is 19. He's dressed in white, collared shirt and nice slacks. He's wearing black dress shoes. He looks at his reflection in the bathroom mirror of his parents' house. He flattens his hair and combs it neatly.

Henry? His father is calling from the front door of the house. Stop worrying about your looks, princess! We're already late!

Henry sighs. He stands back from the sink and gets a better look at his whole self. I'm ugly, he whispers.

Henry comes out from the bathroom. He hurries through the narrow hallway and across the little, crowded living room and to the front door where his stern father is waiting to shut it and lock up the house.

I swear, son, his father says as Henry walks outside, You care more about the way you look than a dang girl does. Despite his father's comments and how they could be perceived, he's fine with Henry being gay. Who are you trying to impress anyway? There are no gay guys at church.

Henry sighs. Tell me about it, he says under his breath.

Sure, Henry lives in a nice town, but Henry wouldn't mind finding at least one other guy who was out and gay. But he feels he's the only one, the only one who's open about it, anyway.

They get into his father's red convertible car and head for church.

Henry is a lanky teenager. His father is a bulky old man. Henry despises the dress code his father enforces. His father says it's the way a respectable man ought to dress.

Henry and his father live alone in a small town in rural Alabama. Strawberry, Alabama. Every time Henry hears the name, even as he grew up with it, he thinks to himself... There is no gayer name than Strawberry, Alabama.

It's the kind of town where football reigns king. Where there is only one strip mall in downtown. Where the people head to church on Sunday mornings and by Sunday evening are back in their quiet homes getting ready for work on Monday. It's a simple life. For Henry, it's a boring life.

Henry sits in the first pew of the little church on the edge of town. Strawberry Baptist Church. The holy little building he's been going to since he was a child. His father stands before the congregation and delivers a sermon. The son of a preacher, Henry hates it.

It is not upon God to ask you to want deliverance from temptation, his father says. It is upon us to ask for deliverance.

Temptation. Temptation. It's a word that's been echoed through these sermons ever since Henry can remember. But the 18 year old is full of temptation. He keeps his head down and pretends to read from the open bible in his lap. But his eyes wander left and right, and he secretly looks in lust at the two men that were sitting beside him. They are older than him, country guys, strong and broad. He sneaks a glance at their crotches and sees the bulges in between their legs.

Dick. Dick. It's what is going through his young, horny mind. He bites his lip and stares down at the floor. He tries to force himself not to think about a man's body. But he's a horny young virgin on the edge of exploding tension. Temptation is becoming something Henry can't ignore much longer.

"And it is not God that places temptation
