    Beet Salad

    Ingredients:

    6 beets

    2 garlic cloves

    1 cup almonds or walnuts (depending on availability.)

    1 tsp. salt

    3 tbs. sour cream

    A pinch of black pepper

    1 whole pomegranate

    Preparation:

    Cook the beets in water. When the beets are cold, peal them and shred.

    Squeeze the garlic out with a garlic presser.

    Chop almonds or walnuts.

    Take apart the pomegranate leaving the red seeds for the salad.

    Stir in the remaining ingredients and you have a perfect salad for everyday dining.

    Note:

    The intense red color of this salad is a feast for the eyes.
